Chapter 40: Coldness

I was at home when I heard a car. I looked outside our bedroom window to see a big black SUV pull up
with dark, tinted windows. A guy with a suit climbed outside and opened the door at the back. Someone
climbed out with a pitch black suit on. I squinted my eyes to get a better look on who it is. My wolf
purred. It was Grayson. I missed him so much. I saw Ethan outside, talking to him, as they walked
inside. I walked out the room and walked downstairs. I walked down the spiral staircase. I looked up
and a shivers ran down my spine as my eyes met his dark brown eyes. Those dark brown eyes that
held a broken look in them, also telling why he does what he does. I walked to him and looked up at
him. His lips formed into a smirk and I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms
around my waist, pulling me close to him.

"I missed you" I whispered and he brought his lips close to my ear, sending shivers down my spine

"I missed you my angel" he whispered into my ear and bit on it, causing a quiet moan from me

"I fucking missed those sexy sounds that come out of your pretty little mouth" he purrs and my wolf
purrs back

Grayson pulled away and looked into my eyes

"Angel, I have to go and do Alpha work. Be good while I'm gone, else you know the punishment" he
smirks and I shiver

I really wanted to spend time with him, since he had been gone for a while. But I guess that we dont
always get what we want.

"Okay" is all I say

Grayson sends me a half a smile and walks out the front door. Ethan sends me a sympathetic smile
and follows Grayson. What was I going to do?



I took out my phone and sat on the couch. I swiped through my notifications.

Jessica:

Hey, I miss you!

Danielle:

I miss you too.

I went to the next message

I closed my phone. I looked outside the window. It seemed as if a storm was on it's way. The sky was a
dark shade of grey and the temperature dropped low. A shiver came down my spine. This house was
too big for my liking and being all alone in this house in the gloomy weather certainly did not make me
happy. I wish Ethan was at least here to keep me company, but he left with Grayson, who knows to
where or when they will come home. The house was becoming cold. Most parts of the house was dark.
Lost in the shadows. I got up and made my way upstairs. The long spiral staircase with many floors. I
got to our floor, where our bedroom was and walked into our room and turned on the lights. I swear that
I saw a dark shadow that escaped into the bathroom? I literally cringed on to who it can possibly be..



My wolf instincts told me to howl. But as stubborn as I am, I walked to the bathroom and looked around
the corner to peep through. Nothing. I walked inside and all I saw was a bathroom window open and
the bathroom curtain blowing from the wind.

"Grayson I need you" my wolf mindlinked his wolf

"What is it Danielle?" His wolf replied

"Someone was inside our room" my wolf whimpers

I heard through the mindlink that his wolf growled

"I'll be their soon. Stay there" his Alpha tone was used to communicate

The next thing I know, a vampire jumped up our balcony and opened the doors and rushed in

"My Luna, I am truly sorry" the guy says, bowing his head

"No, no please, call me Danielle. And sorry for?" I ask

He looks up at me

"For not checking up on you, I was hunting and I was not guarding Alpha Graysons house when it
happened. It was my fault" he says with complete sadness in his eyes, which makes my heart sink.

"It's completely understandable, you were out hunting. It's fine" I smile at him and a door slams open

"What the fuck?! I asked you to look after your fucking Luna Michael! And what happens?! Someone
gets into the house! And anything could of happened to her!" Grayson shouts, his eyes black with rage

The guy, Michael head was down, showing respect and also regret and despair.



"I'm sorry my King" he says, keeping his head down. Grayson's wolf growled at him

"There is definitely going to be some consequences here for this Michael. You are for one, going to live
in the woods for 3 weeks. I declare you Michael jake as rogue for 3 weeks. If you survive, you come
back here, if you don't then you know why" he says in a calm tone

It wasn't his fault! He had to go hunt! That is practically man-slaughter!

"He will never survive Grayson! Not against rogues anyway! vampire or not!" I shout and Grayson turns
to look at me

"Danielle. I suggest you never fucking raise your voice at your alpha ever again. Just because you are
the Luna of this pack , doesn't make that you are allowed to question your Alpha's commands! You will
be getting punishment" his Alpha tone was used and my wolf whimpers

"Now. Michael, I will make sure Conor escorts you out" he says, looking at the poor guy.

He looks at me with sad eyes

"Alpha. Luna" he bows his head as he walks out the door

Grayson walks to the door and slams it shut and locks it.

"Now bend over the bed" he says calmly, as I do as he says

He walks to his cupboard and unlocks the door with a key, that seems to be wrapped around his neck.
He glances at me, probably to make sure that I'm not looking. His eyes were dark. I looked away and
carried on looking at the bed in front of me. Feeling the soft material under my fingers. I heard the door
get locked and I felt him pull down my jeans, then taking off my pantie. He then rubbed up my legs, all
the way to my ass. I felt a cold sensation on my ankles, I glanced down to see what it was. It was a
thin, black whip. I was prepared to get hit like a fucking five year old. A tear slipped down my cheek, as



I thought about how mates were suppose to be loving each other, not 'spanking' each other. I closed
my eyes, waiting for the pain to set in.

"Count" he says, emotionlessly

He slides the whip up my thighs and then hits it on my ass. The stinging sensation.

"One" I say, biting on my cheek, in order to try not to cry

He hits it again, harder and I cringe at the stinging sensation that starts burning as well

"Two" I say, coming out weaker

He hits it about four more times and by the time his done, I run into the bathroom and slam the door,
locking it and sobbing on the floor, as I come to realization.

Grayson Dolan is a ruthless monster that doesn't care about anyone and is incapable of loving
someone, other for himself.
