Chapter 309: He Finally Went Away

Regardless of Caden’s disappointment, Grace washed her face, brushed her teeth and left.

She had been busy with work all day. Vivian came to her office in the morning for the contract with the
Domen Group. At noon, however, she found that Grace was still working in the CEO’s office.

She thought that it was because of the cooperation with the Domen Group that Grace worked so hard.
But in the afternoon, she learned from the Secretary Department that Grace asked them to bring her all
the relevant documents.

Vivian realized that something was wrong. The door of the president’s office wasn’t closed. Just as she
reached out to knock it, it opened automatically. Vivian found that Grace was completely dedicated to
her work.

“Grace,” Vivian strode in and said sullenly, “It’s not a good idea to keep working. I know there are still
many problems to solve. But we have signed the contract with the Domen Group. Take it easy. OK?”

“It’s not about Domen.” Grace was still busy with her work and did not even raise her head. She signed
a document and responded indifferently.

“What?” Vivian frowned. “Then why are you doing this?”

“OK. Stop, Vivian. Go.”

Grace still didn’t raise her head and said.

Vivian was angry that Grace kept working. She smacked her hand down on to the table and said, “I
heard that you didn’t have lunch.”

“I’m not hungry. Get out.”



Grace said coldly.

Vivian was slightly stunned. She had never treated her like this since she started to work for her.

“You …”

“Get out.” Grace raised her head from the pile of documents and looked at Vivian.

“What happened?”

Vivian pondered for a moment and felt that something was wrong. She had never treated her like this.
“I can go out now. Grace, I understand why you focus on your work, but you should eat something.”

“I told you I’m not hungry.”

Vivian frowned, “If you skip meals, I can’t finish my task.”

Vivian was provoked by Grace.

“Task?” Grace raised her eyebrows. “What task?”

Vivian realized she had spilled the beans. As this was the case, there was no need to keep the secrets.

“Before President Shaw left for Italy, he asked me to supervise you and make sure you have your
meals on time. Although he lost his memories, I must keep my promise.”

Grace became more upset when Vivian mentioned Caden. “Who’s your boss? Vivian, mind your
behavior.”

Then Grace realized she had gone too far.

“Grace?”



“Get out.”

“There is something wrong, right?” Vivian knew Grace well. She wouldn’t treat her like this for no
reason.

“Tell me about it. Maybe I …”

Grace suddenly slapped the table and stood up. She knew that Vivian cared about her, but she could
not bear her constant chatter. “Get out.”

She tried to push her out of the office.

“Come on.” Vivian said, “There must be a way. Did Caden do something bad? Tell me. Maybe I can
help ...”

What Vivian said made Grace even more annoyed. Her words stabbed at her heart like sharp arrows.
She shouted, “You can’t!”

She didn’t want to hurt Vivian, but she also didn’t want to hear anything about Caden.

She just … wanted Vivian to shut up and leave her alone.

“It’s about Caden, right?”

Grace suddenly grabbed Vivian’s hands and said in a low voice, “Vivian, could you please leave me
alone?”

It was more like begging than commanding.

Vivian suddenly took a tumble. She regretted that she had acted so stupidly just now.

Vivian did not say anything else. She turned around, opened the door and walked out.



However, Grace didn’t go back to work. She stood there quietly with a pale face.

She stood there quietly like a pillar. About fifteen minutes later, a take-out was put outside her office.

Someone knocked the door gently, reminding her to eat her meal.

No more sounds were heard.

Grace stayed put for a long time. Finally, she opened the door and picked the take-out up.

She murmured, “Vivian, thank you.”

But Vivian had already left.

Grace sat down and started eating slowly. But she was not in the mood and lost appetite. The food
tasted terrible.

Time went by quickly. The sky darkened.

She looked at the clock. It was almost the time to go home, but she didn’t want to.

Ingemar didn’t call her. She guessed her threat worked. He was intimidated.

After she read all the documents on the table, there was finally no excuse for her to stay here.

She quietly left the company.

She drove home and parked the car in the underground parking lot. She walked slowly and took the
elevator to the floor where she lived on. Standing at the door, she looked at the door with mixed
feelings.

She put her hand on her left chest and felt that her heart was beating fast.



She opened the door and found the room was dark. She breathed a sigh of relief … It seemed that
Ingemar had taken him away.

However, she felt somewhat upset.

She tried to calm down.

She turned on the light. The room was light.

She looked into the living room and saw nobody on the sofa … He used to lie on the sofa.

She put down her backpack and slowly went into the bedroom. As she turned on the light, she still

She turned around and slowly walked out of the bedroom to the balcony.

On the balcony, there were only telescopes.

She touched the telescopes. It felt very cold.

He had gone. Nobody would cook her a hot meal.

“Good. He has gone.” She said.

However, she picked up the chopsticks and started eating.



She also turned all the lights on. Every room was bright.
