chapter 5Sorry, we’ve done everything we could

“Mom! Do you feel well?” BaiXue puts her ear close to the receiver, waiting anxiously for the answer
from the other side.

“Miss Bai, i am the attending doctor of your mom.” there comes out a strange male voice, his cold tone
tightens her heart. “i am sorry to inform you that your mom suffered from intracerebral hemorrhage due
to complications. It happened suddenly, and there’s no one to take care of her at that moment or
signed the operation agreement, so she did not get the treatment in time. Miss Bai, we’ve warned you
before that you should spend more time with your mom because of her illness. We are sorry. ”

“No, i don’t believe it!” BaiXue dazed there with tears flowing out from her dilated pupils. “it’s not a
chance mom can die this way, she will not abandon me, never!” BaiXue bites her lips and spits out
some words intermittently. “maybe you has the wrong person, maybe she is not my mom...” BaiXue’s
body begins to shake violently, she pinches her left arm with her right hand, putting nails deeply into
her soft skin. the oozing blood brings her into reality that this is not a dream.

Who? Her mom died? He turns back with surprise, seeing her white bright back and neck, so beautiful
and seductive. He walks towards her and sees her delicate but pitiful face, suddenly his heart pauses a
little.

“I will be there now! ” BaiXue turns suddenly and strides out, the tearing pain between her legs makes
her weak and she is about to fall down, luckily the man holds her with his hands, “tell me what
happened?”

BaiXue has no any strength left, she lies limply on his chest.

“Let me go! Let me out, i now have nothing, i want to terminate the contract with you, i don’t need your
money, i want to leave now!” BaiXue holds her face painfully with hands, tears finally cannot stop rolling
down, she has nothing left now, her mom left her for good, she even could not get the chance to see
her last time.



The man frowns his eyebrow, the tone of his voice still high. “are you serious?”:

BaiXue manages to break away from him, she puts on her coat hurriedly, grabs her bag, then rushes to
the door, ignoring the shocked eyes of the man next to her.

“How can you go out at this late hour?” the man pulls her back. “what happened exactly?”

“I need to go to the hospital!” BaiXue said with tears.

Without saying a word, the man takes the car key on the table.”I can take you to the hospital!”

BaiXue cries all the way to the hospital, her body shivers with sobbing tears, the man drives the car
silently, with his dark eyes looking forward . The car speeds to the hospital.

“I will give you 5 million as a compensation of your first night, i will not force you if you don’t want to be
the surrogacy.” he mutters.

BaiXue freezes for a second without saying a word, she opens the door and runs to the hospital
building.

The man takes off the Satan mask now. Staring at the thin back of BaiXue, his eyebrows frowns, his
handsome face seem to be carved specifically by the god as if he were the evil Satan who seduces
people. his thin lips chuckles, he does have a bad mood!

“Where’s my mom? ” BaiXue asked the nurse that comes by but without hearing the answer, she goes
to ask another one. “where is my mom now?” she goes crazy now!

She stumbles to the hospital room and sees the white sheet quietly covering over her mom. “we are
sorry, Miss Bai, we’ve done everything we could!” the doctor said apologetically.

Pluff! BaiXue loses her strength and knees down suddenly.



On the hospital bed, the body that covered by the sheet is motionless.Her heart is struggling, she
uncovers the sheet with the last trace of expectation. But what she sees now is the livid face of her
mom who closes her eyes in sereneness and never be able to call her name--xiaoxue!

“Mom... ”BaiXue called her mom bitterly, the pain of losing her mom make her voice be broken.

She bursts into tears and cries towards the bed. “mom! Please wake up! Mom...”

Doctors and nurses here all know the daughter and her mom had lived on with each other for all these
years. Seeing the deep connection between them, they say pitifully to BaiXue. “ Miss Bai, sorry for your
loss, take care of yourself!”

But BaiXue seems cannot hear a thing, she keeps calling her mom as if this constant calling would
wake her mom up and bring her back into life...
