Chapter 1: 01

Lia contemplated on whether she was gonna wear her pink necklace or her black beaded necklace.
She rested a hand on her hip casually as she eyed the necklaces. How ever was she was suppose to
choose? It was to be her first day in a public school and to say the least , she was nervous.
Nonetheless she was also happy that she was cancer free meaning she didn't need to spend her long
boring days in a hospital bed. "Dear hurry up ! The car will be leaving soon!" Her mother yells but Lia
was oblivious to her mother's calls.

Lia rose her buttoned nose in the air , proudly. She would have to go with her pink necklace because
she loved pink. She decided on that and successfully put it on. She beamed as she did a few twirls.
"Lia!" Her mother yells and she squeals as she grabs her green backpack and raced downstairs.

Her mother stood , her suit on and her hair wrapped in a bun. Her sweet lavender scent lingering off of
her making Lia giggle. She loves the way her mother smelled. So fresh yet so deadly . "S-Sorry! Alright
I'm ready let's do it!" Lia cheers proudly as she storms her way to the car that was waiting for her. Her
mother chuckled but trailed behind her.

When they arrived twenty minutes later , Lia gawked at the school. She dreamt of school ever since
she was five. Even though she was only seventeen, barely experiencing school . She made her duty to
have to best two years of school and then she was off to college.

"Remember my precious , if anything happens I want you to call me. If you feel out a breath then use
your inhaler and please remember to not drink the milk ." Her mother dreads out as her face goes pale
. All innocent Lia did was nod ferociously . She was haft paying attention because the public school in
front of her amazed her more than the schools on TV.

"Yes mama. I won't . Can I please leave now?" She smiles as she pulls her mother in a hug. Gina , her
mother , soon relaxed with her touch and hugged her back. Leaving kisses on her forehead. Then the



bell ranged slightly frightened the young girl. It was only the warning bell though . "Oh no . I'm late. Bye
bye I'll see you after school!" She gets on her tippy toes and kisses her cheek before running to the
school doors.

Once she entered she wowed the place. Yeah she saw public schools on TV but she didn't expect it to
be this huge and big. She felt embarrassed as she saw all the teenagers rushing to class so she held
on her backpack strings tighter and proceeded to the principal's office.

While she was walking she saw some students making out or either laughing and joking . She felt
happy as she prayed this school wasn't some bullying school like all the books she read. Minutes later
she stopped at a door that said the MAIN OFFICE and she stumbled in.

"Excuse for being late?" The lady with the big round glasses says as she typed on her computer
furiously. Lia slightly titled her head as she watched her.

"Excuse me?" She whispers and the lady snapped her fingers pointing to the room that labeled the
principal's office. Lia gulped nervously and walked through the busy office until she stopped at the
words PRINCIPAL MR.NELSON.

She knocked and then a low "Come in" , was what she her and she walked in. The principal was on his
computer typing away and Lia smiled as she wobbled her way to his desk. "Hi I'm Lia. My mother Gina
Andrews told me to come to you for my schedule.

The principal slowly lifted his head and then slaps his head as if he's forgotten something. "Ah so
you're the princess! Welcome to Johnson Public High school . We sure have been waiting for you." The
old man smiled as he stood up and walked to Lia. Lia really hated being called a princess.

"Please sir . My mother prefers to not make my appearance as royalty known." She blushes nervously
as she bounces on her feet. Mr.Nelson noticed the young girls action and smiled at her. She reminded
him of his grownup daughter.



"Ah that's right Lia. I forgot . Anyways I have someone to come and help you with your schedule, Uh..
Ms.Dart would you please come here for a second." He yells as he settles back down in his seat. Soon
a girl strides in with a smile .

"Yes headmaster?" Headmaster? Lia thought but didn't pay much mind to it. The girls eyes traveled to
Lia and her eyes widened a she looked at the girl. "Oh my gosh your eyes are beautiful! I wish I was
heterochromia ." (A condition where the colored part of the eye is multicolored.)

The principal laughed deeply as he clutched his big belly. "Rose I want you to meet Lia . Please show
her all her classes." Rose smiles at the shy girl and nodded her head professionally .

"Alright Sir. Hi I'm Rose Dart student council President !" She took her hand out ready for a shake and
Lia noticed Rose's freshly painted nails. Her mother never let her paint her nails .

Lia blushed a deep scarlet red before shaking Rose's hand a little too aggressive making the
Headmaster chuckle. "H-Hi! I'm Lia Andrews it's nice to meet such a pretty girl." Lia greeted but felt
more embarrassed. Rose giggled as they stopped shaking hands. Rose grabbed Lia's schedule and
examined it.

"Lucky you Lia! You have some of my classes and you have first period with me. The bell for the first
period rings in five minutes so let's find your locker and then I'll take you to class." Rose smiled as they
started exiting the office.

Lia felt a little nervous and prayed she didn't have to speak in front of the class. She was scared when
people would stare at her. "Hey Rose. Gonna come to the arcade today?" A girl says as she walks near
Rose making her giggle softly.

"You know it Ellie. Hey meet Lia Andrews she just transferred today!" Lia blushes as she plays with
fingers.



"H-Hi it's nice to meet you." The girl named Ellie looked sweet. Her long blonde hair in a low ponytail
and her pink dress made her so gorgeous. But looks can be deceiving .

Ellie smiles as she nods her but doesn't acknowledge her making Lia frown. "Let's chat later." Was all
Ellie simply said as she walked away . Rose shrugged slightly and they soon stopped at a locker.

Lia could feel her excitement of having her very own first locker . She even squealed when she opened
it making Rose giggle at the girl . She was purely adorable.

Lia soon somehow felt uncomfortable as she felt a gaze on her. More like a gaze that gave her
incredibly strong goosebumps. She turned around and her eyes landed on dark black eyes piercing in
her gray and black eyes. She didn't know why the boy was looking at her like that but whatever it was
she didn't want to be mixed with it.

She walked away with Rose but still felt the gaze of him.

When they got to class , nervousness laced Lia as she felt the whole class looking at her. Like she said
before she hated when people would stare at her . "This is Lia Andrews . She transferred from which
school?" Ms.Gowan asks . She was a much older lady probably in her forty's .

"O-Oh I've actually been in the hospital all my life because I was sick. B-but I'm all good n-now!" She
mentally slaps herself for stuttering again. She heard a few laughs making her saddened and she was
afraid a tear would fall at any minute but she didn't want to act childish again.

"Oh no. What were you sick with?" A random girl asks her eyes filled with worry.

Lia gulped nervously . "I h-had lung cancer . I was born with a weak lung and I had to wait until I was
fifteen to get a new one. O-Once I did I slowly got better ." The girl's eyes saddened hearing her story



but simply nodded and then the door opens.

Lia turns her head revealing the same boy with the hard black eyes , piercing into her eyes once again.
"Mr.Romano it's nice of you to join us. Though it's rare." Ms.Gowan glares at the boy and the guy didn't
keep his eyes off the little girl he saw in front of her.

Looking at her, all he felt was possessiveness and adoration. He took his seat in the back and looked
through the window. Ms.Gowan merely smacks her desk lightly . "Ah. That boy . Well Lia you can take
the seat next to Ace since it's the only one open." She points to the boy with the terrifying eyes making
Lia go pale. But she did as she says and took her seat next to him. She was glad the desk weren't
connected so she had a little bit of room to herself. She felt Ace's stare on her making her a little
uncomfortable. She laid her hands in her lap and listened as Ms.Gowan was giving instructions.

"Your name? What was it again?" Ace asks making Lia flinch silently. She turned to him and looked him
in his eyes.

"Lia Andrews." She whispers as she turns her attention to the board.

This was definitely gonna be something new and Lia was here for it all.

Okay I know my third person writing is terrible but I wanted to give it a try lol .
