Seated on her bed in the lotus position, Lai Yun was cultivating the Illusory Qi from her Medium Grade Spirit Pendant when she suddenly incurred a minor backlash from it.
Wiping the blood trickling down from the corner of her lips, Lai Yun decided to stop even though she had only just started.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop thinking about Xiao Fang.
'Is he stupid or is he just trying to impress Yan Mei?' she thought.
The White Jade guild members practiced the Black Paradise sect's signature whip technique which was usually only taught to core court disciples. So it wasn't uncommon to see Tiger or even Snake-Class disciples contend against Phoenix-Class disciples. However, thinking about it now, Lai Yun was reminded of the way Xiao Fang defeated her on the first day of class despite her using the Silver Whip technique on him.
'He's strong, but going out there by himself is just stupid, right? Elder Su said there were several of them out there. Even if he was an entire realm above them, it wouldn't make a difference if he was outnumbered 10 to 1,' Lai Yun continued to think.

Running through the forest, she didn't take a second to think about why she was hearing so many girls screaming. All she knew was that the battle had started so she should get there quickly.
'That crazy bastard. What does he hope to achieve by going up against them? Does he not know the reputation the White Jade guild holds?' Lai Yun thought in frustration.
Nearing the end of the forest, she began to notice something strange.
'What the hell...'
Suddenly, Lai Yun came to a stop and her eyes widened in shock.
"This..." she said under her breath while being unable to understand the situation in front of her.
Looking around, Lai Yun could see 20 or so naked White Jade guild members hiding behind the thick trees in the forest as they watched Xiao Fang and Yan Mei walk further and further away down the road.
'Are they just going to let him go? And why are they all naked?' Lai Yun thought.
Most of the girls were in the Snake-Class, but the weakest amongst them was still in the Spirit Core realm, so even if Xiao Fang was a Profound Realm cultivator, their numbers alone should've been enough to suppress him.
No limbs were lost, no blood was shed, and no skins were bruised. If it wasn't for the fact that their robes were all cut and scattered on the grass, Yan Mei would've assumed that they had stripped naked of their own volition and let him pass as if he was royalty.
'Did he really strip them all by himself?' Lai Yun thought in shock.
Looking back up at Xiao Fang and Yan Mei walking away in the distance, Lai Yun couldn't help but have complicated feelings about him now.
She already knew he was strong from when he fought her in class, but when she overheard Yan Mei say that he saved her from Gao Liwen last night, she didn't even believe it for a second.

The person that spoke was the only Phoenix-Class disciple amongst them, and she was the leader of this expedition.

Lai Zi had troubled look on her face because her guildmate, Gao Liwen, had warned her not to confront Long Wang, but after investigating his background, all she could find out was that he was new to the inner court, so she ignored her senior's warning and carried out the attack anyway.

"That's for sure," someone suddenly said before walking out of the shadows.
Seeing that she was the only woman fully dressed, the girls immediately knew she wasn't one of them. However, upon recognizing who it was, they started to have mixed feelings.

Despite how dangerous the girls were, Lai Yun still smiled warmly then said.
