her arms around that of his, and said, “It’s late, Rick. We should take a rest now. Mom’s surgery’s tomorrow: I’ll

accompany you to the hospital.”

“There’s no need to.” Henrick shook his head in disagreement. “Rest well at home and take care of the baby in your

belly. I’ll go alone.”

Knowing how Henrick was concerned about the baby, Cindy did not insist on it. She gave a simple acknowledgment

and followed him back to their room while suppressing the immense happiness within her.
