The smile on George’s face disappeared and he fell silent.

Thereafter, he lifted the blanket and sprang to his feet.

Right after he said that, he left my apartment.I knew that I shouldn’t have lashed out on him, but
hearing about the topic of illegitimate child sent my emotions out of control.



Once George had left, Lucy came to my apartment for a drink.
