Chapter 99

On the other end of the phone, Zoe fell silent. After a full ten seconds of silence, she said respectfully,
"Nice to meet you, President Pearson. I'm Leanna's new friend, Gigi Carter."

Aidan's tone was indifferent as he said, "Is that so?"

"Haha, yes, it was nice meeting you. I won't bother you two anymore."

Aidan couldn't be bothered to deal with her, so he got up and left. As she watched him walk away, she
finally felt alive again.

A while later, Zoe called again, and she tentatively asked, "Sweetie, are you still alive?"

Zoe continued, "Come to think of it, aren't you away from Highside? Why is that b*sta—President
Pearson with you?"

"What about you? Aren't you coming back with him?"

opposite her.
