When Li Shi arrived back to the village, the villagers were extremely unhappy with her . They just threw her onto the bed . When Su Qing and Mu Yunyao arrived back, they went to greet them . Su Qing thanked them and it took quite some time before they all left .
There were still blood stains on the ground . Su Qing dug some dirt from the ground at the door and used it to cover the blood stain . After she finished cleaning up, the sky was already completely dark .
Li Shi lay on the bed . She did not dare make a single sound in fear of once again being eyed by that little devil .
When she saw Su Qing was about to go and make food, Mu Yunyao blocked her way, her eyes were wide as she stared at Su Qing . “Mother, why are you ignoring me? Are you angry?”
Su Qing looked at her, tears started to well up in her eyes . “Yao Er, be honest with me, all the things that had happened, has it got something to do with you? Also, that night, there was such a commotion, why did I not wake up? I was originally sleeping in the main house, so why did I wake up in the east wing?
When she heard that she was not asking about Dingshan’s death, Mu Yunyao sighed in relief . She quickly blinked, her clear watery eyes were filled with innocence, “Mother, I had went up the mountain to help pick some medicinal herbs for Grandma . I also happened to notice that you had not been sleeping well for the past two days and thus I also picked some herbs that would calm you . They would help you sleep better . I don’t know why something so frightening would happen . Mother, fortunately we are alright, you don’t have to worry about entering the Zhang residence anymore . The Heavens are on our side, tonight, let’s pray to the Heavens as thanks for keeping Mother safe!”
Such a weak answer was not enough to satisfy Su Qing . But the moment she put up a stern face, she saw Mu Yunyao’s tear-filled eyes . Her heart immediately softened . “Fine, Mother will also pray . ”
Mu Yunyao smiled and nodded her head . She hugged Su Qing, her heart extremely satisfied: She had to thank the Heavens for giving her a chance to restart everything .
Su Qing went to make the food . She looked at the quiet Li Shi and hesitated . In the end, she filled up a bowl and put it beside Li Shi’s bed .
Li Shi carefully looked at Mu Yunyao . When Li Shi saw that she stayed quiet, she reached out for the bowl, her entire body screaming out in pain .
Mu Yunyao glanced at her . Since Su Qing was present, she did not say anything . After she finished eating, Su Qing went to wash the dishes while Mu Yunyao walked towards Li Shi .
“You……don’t come here, what are you going to do?” Li Shi was frightened out of her wits . She dragged her body away . She gritted her teeth as she felt a sharp pain coming from her injuries .
Mu Yunyao expressionlessly took away Li Shi’s pillow and removed the wooden plank underneath it . She took out the silver which was inside .
Li Shi could stand it no longer, “That is my silver……”
“Your silver? There is a total of seventy silvers here . Fifty of them are the money that you got for selling me and my Mother . Five were the ones that you stole from my house . The remaining fifteen are the ones that you got from both my parents over the years . Tell me, which of these were earned by you?”
Li Shi did not dare make a sound . Her heart was bleeding, taking the silver is equivalent to taking away half her life!
When Su Qing saw the silver, she asked, shocked, “Yao Er, where did you get all these silver?”
“Grandma had been gathering them . She gave them to us, saying that they could be used to make our lives easier . Mother, do you like this village?”
When she heard that the silver were Li Shi’s, Su Qing guessed that a large portion came from Zhang Caizhu . She immediately lost interest . “After living here for so many years, of course I like this place . ”
“I remember when Father was teaching me how to read, he read me a poem: Sunrise, the flowers by the river is redder than fire . Springtime, the river’s waters are green yet blue . It means that the scenery at the South of the river are beautiful . Mother had also said that , if we had the chance, we could go down and look . Mother, what do you think about moving to the South?”
