Dudian got up when he saw that the worms had finished eating. He felt his stomach growl again. He was cold and hungry after not eating for a few days. He even planned to eat Amelia a few times but in the end he held back.
He had killed many people but this was the first time he had eaten someone. Unless he had no choice, he didn’t plan to take this step. That meant failure.
After going around the wall, Dudian saw that Amelia was curled up on the other side of the wall. There were several pieces of worms around her. She was unconscious and didn’t have any vigilance.
Dudian went straight to the passage. He was surprised to see that most of the broken worms were gone. There was only a small stand of worms left on the ground, but they were listless and didn’t move.
