He then tapped her nose gently. “Don’t worry. There won’t be any other babies.”
“Papa, do you love me?” Pepsi asked eagerly.
“Of course.”
“But you didn’t say it.” Pepsi pouted.
“That’s for your mummy.” Sheng Yize put her back down. “Go watch TV with Mummy. The glutinous rice balls are almost ready.”
Pepsi did as told. She turned around suddenly and said in a pitiful voice, “Papa, don’t become a star!”

Sheng Yize was at a loss. What did becoming a star have anything to do with that?
He came out of the kitchen with the glutinous rice balls three minutes later, and An Xiaxia told him about the conversation between Cola and Pepsi just then. Sheng Yize saw the light right away. He then beckoned Cola to him with a finger.
Cola gingerly went over to him and saw his father smiling harmlessly at him. “Which do you prefer? Glutinous rice balls or Mummy’s dumplings?”
Cola shuddered at the thought of An Xiaxia’s dumplings from the other day and he apologized without hesitation. “Daddy, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t make up stories when Pepsi’s around.”
“Yes.”
After the lecture, the family had dinner together.
