The five minutes passed very quickly, and once time was up, someone immediately went forward to take the book away from the two’s hands, while pen and paper had already been prepared on the table for their use.
Jing Yun Zhao had just held onto her pen and wrote a stroke on the paper, when she realised none of its ink showed up on the paper. Her pupils constricted, and she gazed at the judging panel, only to see their masks of ignorance on what was going on. However, no one asked to stop the time.
When every second that passed could change the tide, it seemed like there was indeed someone who didn’t want her to succeed.
Jing Yun Zhao let out a long breath and filled the pen with ink, before she started to write with a rub of her hands.
This series of movements used up approximately two minutes, but in these two minutes, it was enough for Sun Yan to write a lot. Especially with Jing Yun Zhao’s problem with her pen; even though she managed to resolve it very quickly, her speed to onlookers looked like she was taking her time, as if she wasn’t in a rush. It practically made everyone watching become anxious for her.
Sun Yan had a decent reputation and could be considered to be an unusually lucky person blessed by heaven in the eyes of most of the people. What’s more, she was quite pretty and her personality was gentle, so she was the most popular amongst the younger generation in the Medicinal Fair.

Especially Ji Shan Shan. Logically speaking, she should hope for Sun Yan to win, but seeing how behind Jing Yun Zhao was, she was willing to kill someone just as long as she could find out who tampered things and slap him to death.

Even though she had memorised about 70 to 80% of the contents just now, but because time was too short, these kinds of memories usually only could be maintained for an equally short period of time. This was why the contents for the latter parts were foggy for her. Every time she wrote out something, she had to pause and think again.
Sun Yan’s cinnabar lips trembled and wracked her brain to recall. Still, Jing Yun Zhao had managed to affect her train of thought and she became even more uncertain of her answers.
Soon, time was almost up and Sun Yan suddenly comforted herself once she noticed it, thinking that Jing Yun Zhao might only be writing so fast just to throw her off on purpose for tampering with her pen. She was slower to start penning down the items than her by two minutes and obviously couldn’t have written more than her, much less remember everything so precisely!

Her hand speed has also consequently picked up a smidge.
