Chapter 531Chapter 531 The Ring Is Yours Now
Finn carried Lilia in his arms and slowly walked in the direction of the helicopter unsteadily.
He was in poor health, and he walked with difficulty. However, he still held his beloved woman carefully.
He struggled, but he was also very devout.
The helicopter was only a few steps away, yet for him, the distance was particularly long.
He staggered halfway and almost fell.
“Mr. Orwell!” Gerald couldn’t bear to look anymore and wanted to go over and help.
Finn glanced at Gerald and shook his head firmly, implying that Gerald’s help was not needed.

Fortunately, Finn safely carried Lilia to the helicopter at last. As if holding a treasure, he carefully
placed Lilia on the soft seat.
He carefully buckled her seatbelt and covered her with a soft wool blanket.

Brandon got in the helicopter and saw the scene. He coughed with a bit of embarrassment.
“Mr. Orwell, the captain would like to know the departure time.”
Finn was silent. He looked deeply at the unconscious Lilia and then said, “Now.”“Then I’ll go and inform him to get ready to take off,” Brandon said. “Are you going with her?”
Finn shook his head and forced himself to look away from Lilia. “She’ll go herself.”
After that, he strode to the hatch.
Halfway through, he stopped and turned back. He took out an exquisite ring box from his pocket and
opened it. Inside was an exquisitely cut diamond ring.
He took out the ring and carefully picked up Lilia’s slender fingers.
Seeing that he was about to put the ring on her fingers, Brandon kindly reminded him, “You left her a
diamond ring. Are you still expecting her to let go?”
Finn paused. Then he smiled bitterly, “You are right. It’s not the time to give her the ring.
“Forget it.” Finn closed the ring box and squeezed it tightly as he walked out.
He walked to the cabin while squeezing the ring box. Then he raised and swung his arm. It looked like
he was about to toss the ring away, yet he just couldn’t.
It was the ring he had carefully selected and wanted to personally put on Lilia’s finger on their wedding
day.
It carried all the beautiful dreams they had for the future.
But now, everything was gone. Nothing was left. Dreams became illusions.
Finally, Finn stuffed the ring together with the box into Brandon’s hand.
“The ring is yours now.”“It’s yours. What am I supposed to do with it?” asked Brandon, holding the ring box with a troubled
expression.
“You may give it to Ms. Thompson. It’s quite costly. Throwing it away would be a shame.”
Finn was never short of money since he was a kid. Of course, a ring meant nothing to him.
What he couldn’t let go of was the sentimental meaning the ring carried.
Brandon was generous enough to take the ring box over. “I’ll hold it for you for now. You shall have it
back when there’s a chance.”
“I don’t think there will ever be such a chance. Give it to her later on my behalf.
It was for her in the first place,” Finn smiled bitterly.
Brandon nodded. He didn’t say anything, yet he felt sorry for Finn and Lilia, the pitiful couple.
Brandon and Finn got off the helicopter together, and the captain descended the cabin door. The
propeller slowly started, and the helicopter took off.
Standing on the golf green, Finn looked up and watched the helicopter take off, farther and farther
away.
He thought, the woman I love is about to return to Paris. This is the last time I see her. We will be in
separate worlds from now on.
“Mr. Orwell, let’s go. The helicopter is already far away,” reminded Brandon kindly.
Finn reluctantly retracted his gaze. He had been out in the wind for a long time, and now he felt a little
uncomfortable in his lungs. He raised his hand and clenched it into a fist. Then he pressed it against his
lips and coughed a few times.“Let’s go. It’s time to go back.”
They stepped on the soft grass skin of the golf course and walked towards the parking area.
Finn was weak, so he walked slowly. He coughed from time to time.
Considering that Finn was sick, Brandon slowed down his pace to match Finn’s speed.
They chatted as they walked.
“Have you familiarized yourself?”
“Yes. Your home is large, but the structure is not confusing. I memorize the route after walking through
the place once.”
Brandon replied.
“It’s your home as well,” Finn corrected him.
“I’m just a substitute,” Brandon replied with a frown.
For some reason, Finn suddenly became particularly stubborn. He said, “We are twin brothers. If it
weren’t for the circumstances, you would have been part of us, too.”
In fact, Brandon was not interested in having anything to do with the Orwell family at all. Compared with
participating in the Orwell family’s infighting, he preferred living a peaceful life.
“Did you get to see Mom today? How do you feel?” Finn coughed a few times more, and his voice
became even weaker after he finished coughing.
“Mrs. Orwell is nice. She is approachable,” Brandon replied objectively.“Mrs. Orwell? She is our mom,” Finn corrected Brandon again.
Brandon was pissed off. He said coldly, “There’s no point in trying to move me. I’ll do what I promised
you, but I want nothing to do with anything other than that.”
After that, without giving Finn a chance to refute, Brandon sat in the driver’s seat quickly. He put his
foot down and roared past Finn.
The sports car sped along the road. Brandon was so fretful. All he wanted now was to see Savanna, to
hug her, and to kiss her.
Soon, the sports car was pulled up in the yard. The car had barely come to a stop when Brandon
opened the door. He got out of the car and rushed into the villa.
Lizeth was cleaning the living room. She was mopping the ground diligently.
“Mr. Cassel, you’re back,” she greeted respectfully.
Brandon nodded and looked around the living room, looking for the woman he wanted to see.
He didn’t see her. “Where is Savanna?” he asked.
“Ms. Thompson is in there,” said Lizeth as she pointed in the direction of the kitchen.
Brandon immediately turned around and walked over to the kitchen. Then he smelt the rich aroma of
some soup. He walked over and held Savanna’s waist from behind.
“Hon, what are you doing?”
Savanna was holding a spoon and stirring the pot. She was stunned.
“Brandon, why are you back so soon?”The soup in the pot was bubbling. Brandon hugged Savanna, his beloved woman, tightly and leaned
his head on her shoulder.
“I miss you so much. I rushed back to see you at once after I was done.”
Savanna smiled shyly, “What’s there to see?”
“You. You are so pretty,” Brandon said tackily.
Savanna felt her cheeks burning. She was shy and changed the topic. “Did you drink? I made you
some soup.”
