my mom there. She was about to walk inside when she caught me leaving.

“Why are you in the living room?” She had a visible frown on her forehead when asking me that
question.

“I was tired, so I sat in there for a few minutes.” I lied, still breathing loudly.

“Really?” she said, pushing me aside and walking into the living room to inspect around. My heart
drowned in my stomach, wondering if she was going to catch him.

“Ah!” I screamed in pain to get her attention. She turned around and looked my way, frowning at me.

“What happened?” she asked, and I wrapped my arm around my stomach, bending over for her to
chase me and help me with my posture.

“What is going on?” she inquired. “Are you okay? It must be

from eating at odd hours of the night,” she said, holding my hand to support me on my feet and walk
me upstairs.

“Maybe,” I uttered, sneakily turning my head around to pass the last glance at Maddox. I don’t know
what was going on with my body, but I was excited to be touched by my mates.
