Nollace pushed open the bedroom door and saw that only one light was left on in the room. Daisie was soundly

asleep.

He took off his coat, hung it on a hanger, walked up to the edge of the bed, and sat down.

Nollace lifted his hand to caress her cheek, leaned over, and kissed her. “Did I wake you up?”

Nollace rolled over, lay down, hugged her, and rested his chin on the top of her head. “Go back to sleep already. I’m

right here.”

Daisie nestled in his arms and continued to sleep.

After falling asleep, Nollace used her cell phone to send Leah a text message, asking her to ask Zephir

out tomorrow.

Just as Leah was about to fall asleep, she received a message from Daisie asking her to ask Zephir out. At first, she

thought it was Daisie, but the tone of the text did not sound like her.
