something.”

“Let’s talk in the study,” Larissa said as she rose to her feet. She turned to Ryleigh and added, “You stay in the living

room. Just let the maid know if you need anything.”

Ryleigh nodded. Maisie followed Larissa to the study. She did not know why Larissa did not allow Ryleigh to come
