Jian Dan bought dinner and came to the Qin Corporation… She arrived at the 33rd floor without any obstacles. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she bumped into Li Jing. “Mr. Li, is Uncle still busy?” Jian Dan asked softly.
“Yes.”
Chu Liyuan did not rest last night and was still busy with work now. It was really tiring.
“Then he must not have eaten dinner.” Jian Dan said worriedly.
Li Jing shook his head without saying anything.
“Then help me pass this dinner to him.” Jian Dan was afraid that she would disturb Chu Liyuan, so she wanted Li Jing to pass it to him.
“I think it’ll be more effective if you send it in yourself,” Li Jing suggested.
Li Jing had worked for Chu Liyuan for 12 years and knew him very well. He was a workaholic. Once he was engrossed in work, he did not care about anything. He had tried to persuade him countless times, but it was useless.
However, this young girl was different. She could definitely do it.
“Won’t it disturb him?”
“Mr. Chu has been so busy yesterday that he hasn’t rested at all. It would be great if you could let him sleep after dinner.”
“Okay!”
Chu Liyuan was really too much. He did not even rest. How could his body take it? It was really worrying.
Looking at Li Jing, she gave him a reassuring expression and went in.
“Mr. Chu, Mr. Li asked me to bring you dinner.”
Jian Dan deliberately said in a coquettish voice.
“Get out. Don’t you know that women aren’t allowed in my office?” Chu Liyuan said without looking up.
In other words, she was the only girl who had been to Chu Liyuan’s office!
Looking at him working seriously, he was really too handsome. He exuded the charm of a mature man.
“But Mr. Li said that I must hand the dinner to you personally,” Jian Dan continued in the same voice as before.
Had he been too good to Li Jing recently? He was getting bolder and bolder.
Chu Liyuan slowly raised his head. His eyes were filled with a bone-chilling coldness. However, the coldness only lasted for a moment. When he saw who it was, it instantly disappeared and was replaced by a gentle smile.
Jian Dan met Chu Liyuan’s eyes and smiled as she lifted the bun in her hand. “I haven’t had dinner yet. Uncle, will you eat dinner with me?” Jian Dan looked at Chu Liyuan playfully.
He was wondering how Li Jing could be so bold. So it was Jian Jian.
Chu Liyuan put down his work and led Jian Dan to the couch… Jian Dan opened the bag and picked up a bun with her chopsticks, bringing it to Chu Liyuan’s mouth.
Chu Liyuan obediently opened his mouth and ate the bun… “Delicious, right? I go to this shop often. Their beef buns are especially delicious,” Jian Dan said.
Chu Liyuan’s eyes never left Jian Dan.
Jian Dan also noticed that Chu Liyuan kept looking at her. She looked away in embarrassment. “Uncle, why are you staring at me?”
Chu Liyuan did not answer and continued to look at Jian Dan. Seeing that Chu Liyuan did not answer, Jian Dan slowly turned her gaze back. Just as her eyes met his, he kissed her on the lips. Jian Dan’s eyes were filled with surprise. She never expected Chu Liyuan to kiss her so suddenly.
This was the office. If Mr. Li came in and saw this scene, how awkward would it be?
Jian Dan wanted to say something, but her mouth was sealed tightly by Chu Liyuan. She could only make muffled sounds.
Chu Liyuan only moved his lips away when he heard Jian Dan’s protest. He placed his hands on both sides of Jian Dan’s body and looked at her.
Chu Liyuan had always felt that his self-control was very good, but why did it seem to disappear without a trace in front of this lass?
“Uncle, this is the office. If Mr. Li comes in and sees you like this, it won’t be good,” Jian Dan whispered.
Chu Liyuan was really too bold…
Chu Liyuan looked at Jian Dan and gave a devilish smile. He picked up a remote control on the coffee table and pressed a button… A partition slowly descended, separating the office and rest area into two spaces.
“You don’t have to be afraid anymore now.” Chu Liyuan did not give Jian Dan a chance to speak and kissed her again.
Jian Dan wanted to struggle, but her body was firmly restrained by Chu Liyuan. She could only let him kiss her…
However, a few minutes later, Jian Dan felt that Chu Liyuan’s actions had stopped. “Uncle?” Jian Dan called out softly, but there was no reaction.
She patted his back gently, but there was no reaction.
Jian Dan heard a gentle breathing sound. It turned out that he had fallen asleep. It seemed that he was really exhausted.
Jian Dan slowly pulled her body out from under Chu Liyuan and covered him with a blanket. She slowly raised the partition a little and tiptoed out before lowering the partition again.
“Mr. Li, Uncle is asleep,” Jian Dan whispered to Li Jing.
“I have to say, you’re really amazing,” Li Jing praised generously.
Li Jing had already worshiped Jian Dan countless times silently.
“Did something very dicey happen?”
He had not rested for two days and worked non-stop. Something must have happened.

“I know. Maybe I can’t help much, but I just want to help Uncle share some of the burden,” Jian Dan said seriously.
Li Jing saw Jian Dan’s expression and said, “Alright, the jewelry exhibition for Qin Jewelry is about to start, but the design drafts prepared for the jewelry exhibition have been plagiarized, so they’ve been rushing for new design drafts recently. They’re almost done now, but the design drafts for the main exhibition haven’t been finalized for a long time, so Mr. Chu has been personally designing them these few days.” Li Jing briefly explained.
“Uncle knows how to design jewelry?” Jian Dan’s face was filled with surprise.
Chu Liyuan scored more brownie points just then.
Li Jing and Jian Dan came to Chu Liyuan’s desk together. On it was a design. It had a semi-curved ring and a base surrounded by hearts. On top of it was a perfect round pink diamond. The design looked very simple, but there were many small ideas hidden.
“So beautiful.” Jian Dan sighed. “But…” But then she frowned slightly.
“But what?”
Jian Dan looked at Li Jing… “I’ll make a disclaimer first—I don’t know much about jewelry. But when I saw this ring, I felt that it was very beautiful and dazzling, but it was a little jarring.”
“How so?”

“How should I put it? How about this, wait a moment.” Jian Dan picked up the pencil on the table and added a touch of baby’s breath to the original design.

Li Jing looked at the design that had been modified by Jian Dan and the corners of his lips curled up… Previously, Chu Liyuan had never been very satisfied with this work. He kept feeling that something was missing, but now, it seemed just right.
