the cold and couldn’t bear to see others being afraid of it.”



Mia snorted, threw away the cigarette butt, and got into the car with the help of her cane. Kisa smiled
awkwardly and said nothing.

As the snow was heavy, the car drove slowly, and there was a long traffic jam on the road. Kisa and
Mia sat in the back, and no one spoke. The cabin was heated and warm. Kisa leaned back in her seat

somehow lost sleep last night, staring out the window at the snow that was falling until 4:00 am. The
good thing was that the appointment with Mr. Tanner was at 7:00 p.m., so there was still plenty of time.

“Ma’am, go get changed. Dad has made breakfast for us,” Blake said.

Kisa nodded. “You go ahead. I will be there in a moment.”
