“I’m not jealous. I’m just mad. That b*tch doesn’t deserve them at all.”

“I think, if you don’t like to see Mrs. Kooper, you can let her move out with Mr. Kooper. That way, you
won’t see them adoring each other and feel upset, right?”

“No. I will miss my grandson,” Madalyn said and suddenly sighed melancholy. “I’m getting old, and I
don’t know how long I can live. I’m most worried about my grandson and him

being hurt by that woman.”

“You’re just overthinking. I can see that Mr. Kooper and his wife love each other. They won’t hurt each
other.”

“No. There is something you and him don’t know, and I can’t talk about it either.”



George was puzzled and was about to ask when he caught a glimpse of Gilbert standing not far away.
He hastily called out, “Mr. Kooper.”

Gilbert nodded at him, then strutted over.
