A rumble was starting to form in my chest.

I turned my body to face Andrea and Caspian, bending my knees and ready to swallow my pride when
Caspain growled.

” He snapped at me, stopping me from falling to my knees.

” Caspian’s hand was clasped in Andrea’s as he tugged her gently to follow him, and it was the only

” Alba said, her eyes showing pain as she passed by me, and I just took it all in.
They need to leave.
That was the only thing running through my head.
I followed after them until the front of the pack house and watched as they walked to Alba’s car.Andrea looked back and opened her mouth to say something, but instead of trying to understand what
she was about to say, I dropped my head and stared at the ground.

Instead, the sound of a car driving away made me tilt my head up.
I stayed standing on my spot, waiting for Nadia.
I still didn’t know what my next move would be.
I was afraid of my own demons.

It didn’t take long before Katya’s car appeared in the driveway and stopped in front of me.
Nadia came out of the passenger’s seat and smiled at me before turning around to say goodbye to
Katya.
Katya waved at us before she drove off, leaving me alone with my mate.
I went down the steps and hugged Nadia behind her back, letting her scent calm my worried heart.

NADIA.The drive from Katya’s house to the pack house would only take ten to twelve minutes, but it felt like I
had been in her car for a long time already.
I didn’t know why I was so worried.
But then I found my answer.
We were threading the road towards the pack house when I saw a car approaching from the right
intersection.
It was a big red SUV.
I was never good at naming cars, but I definitely haven’t seen anyone around here driving this kind of
car.
The car stopped as they let Katya drive and turned to the right, and I watched the car as we drove by
until my gaze fell on the female sitting in the passenger seat, just in time as she slowly rolled her
window up.
My heart shattered into thousand pieces as I closed my eyes and leaned my head on the headrest of
the car seat.
I knew that face.
I’ve been seeing her face everywhere since I saw that picture.
She was older now, but her face remained the same.
She was beautiful.
Riley’s Andrea.I opened my eyes just to blink back the tears that were tempting to fall and tried to pacify my broken
heart.
Riley would tell me about this.

I was still lost in my thoughts when the car came to a full halt.

” I smiled at her as I nodded my head before unbuckling my seatbelt.I slipped out of the car, flashing my mate a warm smile before turning around to say my goodbyes to

I watched as she drove off before I felt arms snaking around my body, enveloping me in a warm hug.

” His deep baritone voice echoed in my ears.

” I chuckled before turning around, coiling my arms around his neck, my gaze trying to catch his, but he
was just looking at my chest.
