apprehensive at the sight of Ashlyn.

She did not say anything further and felt that something was off.

However, she did not wish to stay for another minute.

She left the things she bought for grandma and turned around to leave. Right then, Penelope chimed
in, “Ashlyn, why didn’t you go to the hospital for work? I’ve never seen you there. Are you a fake



doctor? Don’t go around telling people that you’re a doctor when you’re not. I suppose you don’t want
to be exposed by Mr. Haddock like last time right? You really brought disgrace to our family back then.”
