A Chat With Maria

The two of them drank up a whole bottle of wine.

In her inebriated state, Julie soon dozed off.

After a long time, she was finally awakened by the sound from the piano room upstairs.

Vivian was quite a talented singer.

Otherwise, Lydia would never have agreed to teach her.

However, Julie had personally never liked Vivian's singing.

"You seem very proficient in karate.Which master did you learn it from?"

"I taught myself.There are many videos about karate on the Internet," Maria said flatly.

"You've learned it very well.I know some karate masters, but I find them to be just so-so."



Julie wanted to say something more, but quickly stopped herself.

She had been about to say that Maria had a knack for learning new things, and that if she went back to
school, she would probably have a promising future.

But on second thought, she realized that it was ridiculous to say such a thing.

Maria was an orphan who had only graduated from high school.

She'd probably spent her whole life in that small town if the Jenkins didn't bring her to Sheffield.

What could she possibly achieve in life? For a girl like her, marrying into the Wilson family on Vivian's
behalf was already an unimaginably fortunate fate.

In fact, Julie was surprised to find herself even chatting with Maria.

She had never imagined that she would waste time on this so-called adopted daughter.

Both she and Julie had missed dinner tonight.
