On their way back, Su Qianxun saw a few stray dogs in their housing area. She asked her younger brother, “Jiye, there’s some stray dogs over there. I’m sure that they’re very hungry. Why don’t we share the roast duck bones with them?”
Su Jiye showed no reaction. He merely looked at the ground with his head lowered.
“I guess you’re reluctant to do so. Forget about it, then. Let’s go home.” Su Qianxun dragged him towards the way home.
Su Jiye did not budge. He forcefully dragged his elder sister towards the other direction. Su Qianxun laughed. “You do want to feed them, don’t you? Let’s go, then. Let’s do it together.”
The siblings started feeding the stray dogs. Su Jiye held out a roast duck bone and fed one of them personally. The puppy even licked his hand after it was done eating. Su Jiye got scared and withdrew his hand. This made Su Qianxun chuckle.
When they were done feeding the dogs, they encountered Qiao Yiren on their way home. She was standing by her car and looking at the siblings in disdain.
Su Qianxun furrowed her eyebrows when she saw Qiao Yiren. ‘Nothing good ever happens whenever this woman comes over.”
Qiao Yiren sneered when she saw the siblings. “Su Qianxun, I guess you haven’t discarded your idiotic younger brother yet.”
Su Jiye’s body stiffened when he heard what Qiao Yiren said. Su Qianxun tightened her grip on her younger brother’s hand and looked at Qiao Yiren in annoyance, “Are you asking for a beating!?”
“Go ahead if you dare. If you beat me up, Xia Chuxi won’t let you off the hook!”
“Qiao Yiren, karma is a b*tch. You should watch out, as you might get struck by lightning at any time!” Su Qianxun did not feel like paying any more attention to her. She walked towards the stairs, dragging her younger brother with her.
“I’m here today because our father ordered me to hand you my wedding invitation. Don’t forget to attend my wedding!” Qiao Yiren walked over and handed Su Qianxun a bright red invitation card.
Su Qianxun looked at the wedding photograph of Xia Chuxi and Qiao Yiren on the invitation card and took it. “I’ll definitely be there on time!”
“I’m warning you. It would be better for you not to cause a scene, or else, father will never let you off the hook.”
“Hehe. I wonder what Qiao Bonian would think if he were to find out about his favourite daughter’s true colours!” Su Qianxun flashed a cold smile.
“Go ahead if you dare. Don’t forget that your mother is still with us, and that your grandfather is with our uncle. I just need to make a call, and both of them would be met with a horrible fate!”
Qiao Yiren only said such cruel words because she was truly worried that Su Qianxun would cause a scene and destroy her wedding.
