He looked up at the heavy rain hitting against the windows and gently hugged Yun Liuli. “Everything’s okay, I’m here!”
“Uncle Qingcheng, will you sleep with me? I’m so scared of sleeping by myself!” Yun Liuli’s voice was soft and delicate, sounding choked like a child who was about to cry, making one unable to reject her.
It was okay for Gu Qingcheng to set aside his work, but even though Yun Liuli thought she was a seven-year-old kid, she was, in fact, a grown woman. Wary of overstepping the boundaries between a man and a woman, Gu Qingcheng was in a difficult position.

He reached out to turn off the main lights, leaving only a small night light on, then laid down…

Yun Liuli took the chance to circle her injured arm around Gu Qingcheng’s chest, her petite face pressing tightly against Gu Qingcheng’s forearm.

The young lady then acted like she was really preparing to sleep.

The thunder rumbled again.
The young lady grabbed Gu Qingcheng’s arm and pressed even closer to him.
His nostrils were indistinctly filled with the scent of the young woman, and his arms could feel her warm and soft skin. Gu Qingcheng was destined to have a sleepless night tonight.
Lying on the same bed as Yun Liuli, Gu Qingcheng wasn’t able to sleep in peace. In a dazed and half-asleep state, he had a dream. He dreamed that Yun Liuli kissed him.
He seemed to know that it was a dream, so he indulged himself in the dream, responding to Yun Liuli’s kiss. He even flipped her over and fiercely made love to her, pinning her under his body. After taking a shower and returning to the bedroom, Gu Qingcheng could no longer sleep beside Yun Liuli with ease.
