It Couldn't Be Her

As soon as Bonita finished what she was saying, she felt it was ridiculous herself.

Sierra carefully examined the woman on the stage and felt she looked indeed similar to Claire.

But she, too, felt stupid for thinking that way.

"How is that possible? Well, they do have a similar figure.Although Claire's surname is Williams, there
are many people with the same surname.There's no way she will be a member of the powerful Williams
family."

Bonita was soon convinced.

The two concluded that Claire wouldn't be the little princess of the Williams family.

"All right."

He smiled and patted her head.

"Go to the lounge and rest well."

Hearing that, the people around made way for her.Claire nodded to the quests and walked away.

The evening dress made it a little difficult for her to walk quickly.She elegantly lifted the hemline of her
dress and strode to the lounge.She wanted to change her clothes and go to the garden to breathe
some fresh air.

However, just as Claire was near the lounge, Sierra and Bonita arrived from nowhere.

They had obviously secretly followed Claire when they saw her leave the banquet hall.

"Miss Williams, I'm the sister of the CEO of the Quantum Group." Bonita smiled at her.

"Good evening, Miss Williams"

"Yes, Miss Williams looks like an angel.My name is Sierra Brooks.I'm an actress.Have you seen me on
the TV before? I starred in the popular play called ‘Irresistance' last year." Claire stood stiffly as she
looked at their flattering faces.



She felt disgusted to see their attitude change as they spoke to her, not realizing she was the same
person who had put up with all their insult for three years.

However, she tried her best not to reveal her anger.

Sierra and Bonita exchanged glances in embarrassment when they realized Claire hadn't uttered a
word.

They continued to look for topics to talk to her about.

However, their compliments only reminded Claire of the injustice and humiliation she had suffered in
the Sampson family for the past three years.She was forced to take the blame for the car accident
Sierra had caused, and her husband had betrayed and cheated on her.

Tonight, Bonita even accused her of stealing the necklace in front of everyone.

Every memory of the past seemed to intensify her anger.She hated herself for allowing them to bully
her for the past three years.

Haylee was right.She had been crazy to put up with everything for Darren.

"The Quantum Group has business collaborations with the Williams Group.I'm sure we'll meet often in
the future.Darren didn't come today.But I'll soon introduce you to him."

Bonita raised her glass and proposed a toast to Claire.

The two people's cunningness infuriated Claire more.She raised her glass and clinked it with Bonita’s.

"Ant Bonita yelped and jumped back as the red wine spilled all over her dress.Sierra quickly wiped the
stain on Bonita's dress.

"Oh, God! Are you okay?"



"What do I do now? This dress is very expensive." Claire looked at the two, snorted coldly, and left.

Bonita was confused when she saw that.

"What the hell was that?" she asked Sierra.

"She hasn't even bothered to apologize.Does that mean she did it on Purpose?"

Bonita stepped forward to catch up with Claire and question her.However, Sierra immediately stopped
her.

"Forget it, Bonita."

"What's wrong with her? Why hasn't she uttered a word? I didn't offend her in any way!"

Bonita grunted angrily as she wiped her dress.

"Maybe that's her personality.Wealthy people usually have a weird temper,"

Sierra comforted Bonita even though she was equally confused.

Bonita had made a big fuss about the necklace.

Sierra didn't want to cause more problems.

In the garden, Stuart waved at Darren.

"Didn't you say that you wouldn't come?" Stuart smirked at his friend.

"What are you doing here?"

"Where is she?"



Darren looked around, ignoring the mocking smile on his friend's face.

Stuart's smile deepened.

"Wow! You really care about that woman."

"Cut the crap!"

"How heartless of you!" Stuart sneered at him.

"You are too late.I don't know where she is now."

Darren's face darkened.He wondered why Claire was here.

After all, it was a prestigious occasion.

Stuart had never seen Darren care about a woman before, so he didn't want to let go of the opportunity
to tease him.

"Since you still care a lot about her, do you regret divorcing her?" Darren looked at him.

After a moment's pause, he said, "She and I are not meant for each other."
