The Bracelet

After Claire finished speaking with Haylee over the phone, she heard a soft knock on the door.She
turned around and saw Taylor walk in with a grim look on his face.

"Claire, I heard you've joined the crew of a film?" Taylor asked tersely.

Claire knew her father must have heard about the conflict between her and Sierra on the shooting spot.

"Do you want me to invest in the film so that you'll get the part of the heroine?"

He despised Sierra and wanted to avenge his precious daughter.

Claire shook her head, smiling.

"No, Dad.It's my problem.I'll handle it.Besides, I have already decided what to do.You don't have to
worry about me."

Seeing his daughter was firm with her decision, Taylor didn't bother forcing or advising her to do
anything.

He only wanted his daughter to understand her family would always support her and that she could rely
on her family regardless of what happened.

"All right.Do what you feel is right."

Although Taylor decided not to get involved in his daughter's affairs, he still wanted to make her happy.

Therefore, he ordered a servant to bring boxes of jewelry sets.

After Taylor left, the maid helped Claire wear the jewelry.

A frown creased Claire's forehead as she stared at the bracelet.

Something occurred to her.

"What happened, Miss? Is everything all right?" the maid asked as she sensed the drastic change in
her expression.

"Oh, nothing."

Claire took off the bracelet and placed it back into the box as she realized she had to go to the
Sampson family's house.She had forgotten to take something back from there.



Claire drove her sports car to the Sampson family's residence.

The security guard was surprised.He didn't expect to see Darren's ex-wife here.

"Mrs..."

The guard quickly realized it was inappropriate to address her that way, so he cleared his throat and
said, "I'm sorry, Miss Williams.I have to inform the masters."

Claire nodded and waited at the gate.She didn't want to make things difficult for the guard.

Soon, Bonita arrived.

"Wow! I don't believe my eyes.Who is it?"

Bonita crossed her arms over her chest and sashayed toward Claire.

"Have you forgotten the way to your house? You've divorced my brother.Do you remember that, Claire?
What brings you here?"

"Where is my bracelet?" Claire asked, coming straight to the point.

Claire's father had given it to her when she was eighteen.

Seeing that Bonita was reluctant to return it, Claire didn't want to waste her time arguing with her.

Therefore, she pushed Bonita away and walked inside.

"What are you doing?"

Bonita shouted after her and immediately addressed the guards.

"What are you looking at? Stop her!"

"Miss Williams."

Two guards stepped in front of Claire.

"Sorry.You can't go in."

Bonita raised her chin and looked at her haughtily.

"Look, I have no interest in stepping into this damn house!"

Claire's face darkened as she shot a vicious look at Bonita.



"But someone has stolen my thing.I have come to take it back."

The two guards exchanged glances and continued to stand in place.

Claire took out her phone and glared at them.

"Do you want me to call Darren? Let's see if he lets me in."

She didn't demand a penny from the Sampson family but wanted to take back what belonged to her.

"Well..."

The security guards squirmed on the spot with unease.

"Why are you listening to her?"

Bonita growled.

"She doesn't belong to our family now.Drive her out!"

"But..."

The security guards looked at Claire and back at Bonita.

They didn't know what to do.

Just then, the butler, Marcel, rushed over and waved at the two guards.

The guards breathed a sigh of relief and immediately retreated.

Bonita grew furious.



Marcel took a deep breath and explained, "Mr.Sampson has told me Miss Williams can come back
whenever she wants to take her belongings.No one can stop her."
