Chapter 30

JENNIFER'S POV

What the hell just happened? Did he just offer me with this bundle of shit in exchange of marrying that
demon?

I whispered to myself. I raked my fingers through my hair in despair.

How could a person stoop so low? Did he think me to be his goddamn whore who could get herself laid
for a bunch of notes? Didn't he have some morals? Maybe he could buy this damn world with his filthy
money but certainly not my self-dignity and self-respect. And marraige!? It wasn't a shitty joke! Those
seven rounds around the sacred fire held great worth and importance in my heart. I couldn't sell myself
to any Tom Dick or Harry passing my way!

My feet were itching to run upstairs, confront him and give him a tight slap which makes him fall at a
side with a big thud! And I knew it wasn't possible to do so but afterall, nobody taxes you to atleast
dream something like that...

As every success story starts with a dream.

Still, my rational mind did process an importent question about which I had no clue.

"How did he get to know so much about me? My name, my dance class address and maybe more...."

I was mad at myself, my fate, my situation right now and more importantly that handsome bastard who
just now made me feel a cheap commodity who could sell herself for money!

I let out a frustrated sigh. The bundle slipped from my hands and fell fown on the floor. I bent down to
pick it up and as I did, I found five to six pairs of eyes staring at me completely baffled. And.... my



cheeks turned crimson on realising that madam and the rest of the girls there had seen all of it! All of
that bullshit drama!

Madam narrowed her eyes at me and shook her head lightly in dejection. Her eyes conveyed that she
had not thought of me to get involved with people.... no.... monsters like him. They had seen my
encounter with that bastard through the glass windows of an adjoining room.

I took a step towards her in order to justify my fucking self and tell my side of the story. But wordlessly,
she lifted her hand and showed me her palm signalling me to stop on my tracks. Me face crumbled.
She hadn't expected me to go kissing around any random person entering and crossing my path. If
only she knew that I wasn't the one at folly.

She was giving up on me!

That mere thought wasn't going well down my system.

I momentarily glanced at the bunch of notes I just picked up. That, that very thing was giving that
asshole-jerk this much of an 'elephant-ass sized ego'. I was going to destroy this very thing in front of
him. Money... which gave him the privilege of treating people as doormat!

I shall give his male ego a massive blow which shall shake him to his core!

I turned my head towards the lamp which had been lit in front of the Natraaj idol (a form of lord shiva
who is worshipped before commencing any dance form, as he is considered as the originator of Indian
dance form).

I walked towards the lamp, my eyes gleaming with an unparalleled extent of hatred for that man who
ofcourse didn't have morals, but now didn't seemed to be owning a conscience too.



I removed the rubber band put around the notes and directed the filthy lucre towards the flame of the
fire.

"He dared to treat me as one of his disposable fuck buddies, and I shall make sure I humiliate him like
one of his slaves!" I announced loud and clear.
