Chapter 981 Starting to Feel Sick Again

It was fortunate that Nicole had run straight to the trash can as soon as she felt the wave of nausea rising within

her. Otherwise, she would have thrown up all over the floor by now.

She clutched at the trash can tightly, vomiting until her entire complexion went pale. Having eaten some sour

straws candy yesterday, her appetite had significantly improved in the morning. She had eaten quite a large

breakfast as a result, so throwing up now was very taxing on her body.

Leaning against the trash can, she threw up until the contents of her stomach were empty. Only then did she finally

stop retching.

Nicole took the bottle from him and rinsed out the residual taste in her mouth. Her stomach was completely empty

now. Had she known that she would vomit everything in the end, she would not have eaten so much for breakfast.

When she finished rinsing out her mouth, he handed her a paper napkin. She wiped her mouth clean and then

exhaled wearily.

"Boss, w-what's wrong?" Although Roger's appearance made him seem rather tough and rough around the edges,

Nicole shook her head and faintly replied, "It's nothing. I might have worked too hard recently and upset my

stomach as a result. It's no big deal."

Colton held Nicole's hand. Looking at her pale and sickly complexion, a look of deep concern appeared in his eyes.



He could see that her entire body had gone weak and limp from throwing up her entire breakfast. Thus, he clasped

her hand and helped her to breathe.

When she recovered to some degree, she raised her head and smiled slightly at the sight of the worried expression

on Roger's face. She softly reassured him, "I'm fine. There's no need to worry about me. I'm just feeling a little

under the weather. Please go back to work. I'll be fine after resting for a while."

Roger studied Nicole's face for a moment. In the end, he nodded quietly without saying anything and turned to

leave.

Colton studied Nicole's pale complexion and felt extremely bad for her. Reaching out his hand, he stroked her cheek

and blamed himself for her discomfort. "If I had known you would suffer so much, I would not have gotten you

pregnant."

He glanced at her shy expression and raised his eyebrows at her. Chuckling softly, he whispered in her ear, "Why

can't we be intimate with each other, Nicole? You're so cruel. We've practically done everything, including the

wedding ceremony. What is there to fear?"

The roguish expression on his face instantly made her want to punch him in the face.
