The police can’t interfere even if they can’t bear to see them like this,” Chi Jiao explained. She then carefully observed the place.
The apartment was more than 150 square meters, so it wouldn’t be easy to search the whole place.
“Beitang Lie, you go to the left while I go to the right. Let’s split up and investigate.” Chi Jiao looked at the time and realized that it was already 7:00 PM. She had to speed up the investigation.

At this moment, it was crawling out from under the bed, from inside the closet, and from behind the curtains, rushing towards him.

The lizard’s pitch-black eyes were sinister as it tilted its head and cracked its lips like a human. It stretched out its sticky tongue and licked Beitang Lie’s face.
A smooth and foul smell wafted over as a cold tongue licked Beitang Lie’s face, scaring him so much that his soul nearly leaped out of his body.
In the next second, his scream spread throughout the entire apartment building.
