After school, Quan Jue accompanied Chi Jiao to the police station to take a look at Zhou Qiang’s corpse.
It had been more than 10 hours since Zhou Qiang died, and his body was already stiff. Chi Jiao examined him and couldn’t find any external injuries.
Quan Jue also took a quick look at the corpse and concluded. “There’s no aura of an Esper on the corpse.”
Huo Chen looked at them worriedly. “Don’t tell me I am really overthinking things? This has nothing to do with Espers?”
The three of them fell silent.
If the deaths of the three victims had nothing to do with the Espers, there was no suitable reason to explain why their deaths were so strange.
Just as the trio was silent, the little heart suddenly said in a childish voice, “Master, Master, this person has the aura of Number Three!”
Chi Jiao’s eyes lit up. She raised her hand and covered the little heart. “Are you sure? Number Three’s aura is on Zhou Qiang?”
“Not Number Three directly, but the person who possesses its power. He probably used Number Three to kill this person. That’s why his body still has the aura.” The little heart explained in a childish voice.
“So, these three victims didn’t die by Espers but by an ordinary person who has the stone?” Chi Jiao asked.
“Probably? However, I haven’t seen Number Three in a long time, so I don’t know the exact situation. But the moment I find Number Three again, everything will be revealed.” The little heart continued to speak in her soft and adorable voice.
“Jiaojiao, who are you talking to?” Huo Chen asked uneasily when he saw her muttering to herself.
“Me, of course. Hello, Officer Huo. I’m the little heart.” The little heart suddenly spoke out loud.
