“Lu Xian, don’t say that, okay? I love you. You’ve always been the only one in my heart. Do you remember? Today is the anniversary of the first day we met. When I thought you were dead, every year on this anniversary, I would sit alone until dawn. Please don’t reject me anymore now that you’ve finally returned to my side, okay?”
As Quan Jingzhou spoke, he loosened his grip and looked at her pleadingly.
Lu Xian looked at him with a complicated gaze.
She really couldn’t understand what Quan Jingzhou was thinking. She felt so tired.
Quan Jingzhou had always shown extreme concern and affection for her. But at the same time, he had gone against her wishes time and time again, deceived her, and imprisoned her.

Four days had passed since the date which Quan Jingzhou had promised to release her. Lu Xian only wanted to leave this place now and did not want to waste any more time with him.
Quan Jingzhou smiled and nodded. He said gently, “Alright, I’ll go down and prepare the dining room first. I’ll decorate it according to your preferences. I guarantee you’ll like it.”
Lu Xian was exhausted. She didn’t want to say anything more to Quan Jingzhou. She nodded and watched him leave the room.
Lu Xian followed him to the door and locked it.
After locking herself in the room, Lu Xian finally heaved a sigh of relief.
She couldn’t hide the worry on her face. And her head hurt terribly.
“Quan Jingzhou, I hope you will keep your word. Don’t force me.” With that, Lu Xian took out a sharp fruit knife from the pocket of her pajamas.

At this moment, someone knocked on the glass, startling her.
Lu Xian looked out of the window and was surprised to see a man and a woman standing outside.
The man was Beitang Lie. He was standing outside and waving excitedly at Lu Xian, trying to attract her attention.
“Mr. Beitang.” Lu Xian knew him. She hurriedly ran over and opened the French windows.
“Auntie, it’s good that you’re fine! Boss and Mr. Quan Jue asked us to come and save you. Get your things and come with us!” Beitang Lie said.
