A while later, Chen Zhao came.
Seeing him, Faith ran into his arms. “Uncle.”
Chen Zhao picked her up and turned toward Dell, with Lucy beside him. When Lucy saw him, she was surprised. She didn’t expect that Chen Zhao would come here.
Chen Zhao handed Faith to Mary. “Take her outside to play.” Then he looked at Dell and Lucy.

He and Chen Zhao walked outside. Lucy looked at them through the floor-to-ceiling window. It seemed that Chen Zhao and this Dell were very close.
“Dell, I don’t care how messed up your private life is, but can’t you think about Faith? Can you go to your room when you mess with women?”
“Chen, this really is an exception. I was too impulsive just then. But we were only kissing. We didn’t get to that point yet.”
Chen Zhao glanced at Lucy in the living room. He didn’t have a good impression of her in the first place.

Dell shuddered. Ignoring him, Chen Zhao turned to leave.
“Mary, hand Faith over to me. You can have a day off. Go home and see Bant.”
“Did you make it clear with Mr. Dell?”
“I’m sure he won’t do it again.”

“Dell, Chen is only a doctor. Why are you so scared of him?” Lucy lay on Dell, murmuring, “Ah…that hurts.”
“Don’t try to sow discord between Chen and me so immaturely,” Dell said coldly. “We’re brothers and you’re nothing. If you mention our relationship again, there won’t be a place for you in Hollywood anymore!”
“I’m sorry… Dell, that’s not what I meant.”
Dell was an *ss but he wasn’t stupid. He’d seen too many girls like Lucy. She just thought she was smart, but to Dell, she was just a high-end prostitute. She was pretty, but she could be f*cked with money.
On the other hand, Dell’s relationship with Chen Zhao couldn’t be explained in a few words.
Lucy quickly paid for her mistake. After they finished, Dell drove her out of the manor. She didn’t receive anything other than the check.
She was pissed, but she’d already thought of Dell’s status. He was a big shareholder of CAA. That was the biggest management company of Hollywood with countless celebrities. CAA’s connections were spread across the entirety of Hollywood.
If she’d snatched this chance to sign with CAA, she would get more opportunities for herself.
Unfortunately, she’d underestimated Dell’s relationship with Chen Zhao. She’d also underestimated Dell’s intelligence. No one who could thrive in Hollywood was an actual idiot.
She’d only said one thing and Dell already saw her ulterior motive.

“Yes,” Lucy told her manager calmly.
“How was it? How was his impression of you?”
“You really want me to get into CAA? If I do, won’t you lose me?”
“Ha…I trust you’ll be able to get me into CAA too.” The manager wasn’t stupid. He wouldn’t do unprofitable business.
“But you’ll have to be let down. He doesn’t plan on signing me.” Lucy wouldn’t reveal that she’d offended Dell.
“Really? What a pity, it was such a good chance.” The manager didn’t think too much into it and continued, “Oh, there’s a fashion show in two days. Do you want to go?”
“Watch a fashion show?”
“No, as a model,” the manager said. “It’s for the famous high fashion brand Baroness. The boss has very deep connections and can even affect Hollywood.”
“You can help me endorse Baroness?” Lucy asked, eyes brightening.
“They don’t need endorsements. With your status, you can’t get it either.”
“Then what’s the point of me going?”
“Of course there’s a point. Disregarding the pay, if you can meet the owner, you’ll be able to become the female lead of a movie with her single word.”
“Is she really that powerful in Hollywood?”
“Of course. The Baroness’ influence in Hollywood is substantial. Practically every celebrity has one or a few tailored outfits from it. The owner’s family is also influential and vast.”
“Okay, I’ll take this job.” Lucy understood that she couldn’t reject or choose this job.
After coming to Hollywood, she’d only done two things: act and get connections.
She was willing to do everything to be connected to those big figures. Unfortunately, to them, she was only a pretty ornament. Hollywood was full of girls like her.

She started off feeling disgust; now, she was numb.
Lucy didn’t know how many people she’d f*cked now. Getting money like today was good. Some might not even fulfill their promises or give an empty check.
She couldn’t even count how many empty checks she had now.
