Chapter 1: A Deal

There was a loud knock at the door.

Hearing the sound, Alice, who was enjoying her delicious breakfast, shouted at her daughter, Rebecca
Smith, "Rebecca, go open the door!"

Rebecca had no choice but to put down the besom in her hand and run to the door at the order of her
mom.

Her face froze when she opened the door and saw three strangers.

"Excuse me, is this Smith's house?"

A gray-haired man in his sixties asked in a low voice.

"Yes! But who are you? And what brings you here?"

Rebecca frowned in confusion.

The old man responded, "I'm Arthur William, President of the Long-lasting Wealth Group"

"What's out there?" Alice shouted.

"May I go in?" Arthur asked.

After a while of hesitation, Rebecca nodded and led them in.

Seeing three men with an intimidating aura coming in, Alice put down the chopsticks, her eyes wide
open.

She plucked up her courage and asked, "Who are you guys?"

"Do you know where Rebecca is?" Arthur asked seriously.



Alice then immediately glared at Rebecca standing beside her and grabbed her hair.

"Did you make any trouble for me?"

"Mom, I didn't!"

Rebecca bore the pain and protected her hair with both hands.

Arthur was frightened by this scene and hurried to stop Alice.

"Mrs.Smith, stop! You've misunderstood our purpose.I'm here to ask Rebecca for a favor, instead of
getting even with her."

Arthur took a glance at an assistant beside him.

The assistant took a hint.

He placed the box in his hand on the table and opened it.Alice was stunned when she saw the money
inside.

"Mrs.Smith, there is one million in total.All this will belong to you if Rebecca is willing to donate some of
her blood to my son.’’ Arthur just came straight to the point.

"Really?"

Alice was on cloud nine.

"Yes.I can give you more if you don't think it's enough.’’ Arthur nodded.

At the thought that the comer needed her help, Arthur immediately changed her attitude.



She crossed her arms on her chest and asked overbearingly, "But I don't know who you're.How can I
give my daughter's blood to a stranger?"

"Mom, he is..."

"Shut up! It isn't your turn to speak."

Alice snapped at Rebecca.

"I'm Arthur William, President of the Long-lasting Wealth Group.My son had an accident and is in the
hospital for rescue.He urgently needs a blood transfusion.Unfortunately, his blood type is special.There
are only three people with the same blood type in the entire New York.One is too old to donate blood,
and one is in a foreign country.The rest is your daughter.That's why I came here."

Arthur didn't hide anything so as to show his sincerity.

Alice widened her eyes which were twinkling with greed.

"My daughter's blood is so precious.How can you just give us a million?"

Rebecca was standing at one side as if she was just an outsider.

"Mrs.Smith, just tell me how much you want."

Arthur didn't want to waste a second here.Alice looked at Arthur, rolled her eyes, and then gave an
index finger.

"Ten million."

"Okay, Jack, ask the accountant to transfer ten million to Mrs.Smith."

Arthur agreed without hesitation.



"Yes, sir"

"Wait, I'd like to take back my words.Let me think about it again."

Probably seeing Arthur's instant agreement, Alice thought it was so easy for him to realize it, so she
wanted more.

"Mrs.Smith, aren't you afraid that something will happen to your two sons?"

Arthur narrowed his eyes wickedly.

She pulled Rebecca and said bravely, "Give me ten million dollars, and your son has to marry
Rebecca."

"How could you do that, Mom?"

Rebecca was greatly shocked by her heartless mom.

Arthur took a freezing glance at Alice and frowned unpleasantly.

But when she thought he came here for her help, she straightened her back and said confidently,
"Think about it, if anything happens to your son again in the future, you'll have a blood bank available at
any time.Besides, my daughter is so young and pretty.I believe my condition isn't too much."



"What if I don't agree?"

Arthur said in a cold voice.

"Then I can only refuse you.I won't let you take my daughter away even if I die."

Alice suddenly became backboned.

Arthur squinted at Alice with a dreadfully gloomy face.At this moment, the assistant's mobile phone
rang.

It was a call from the hospital.

He handed the phone to Arthur.

A glint of panic flashed in his ear as he listened.

After he hung up the phone, his eyes wore a determined look as if he had made up his mind.

He turned to Rebecca and asked, "Do you want to marry my son?"

"Mr.William, I..."

"Of course, no one will refuse it!"Alice fiercely pinched Rebecca in the arm to stop her and said to
Arthur with a smile.

"Okay, I agree.This money is your bride price.You'll be able to get your marriage licenses when my son
wakes up.’

"Wait! What if you break your promise then?"

Alice was a shrewd woman.



She knew that the William Family was very powerful, so if they backtracked, she would get nothing.

"Then what do you want, Mrs.Smith?"

Arthur darkened his face.

"Go to the civil affairs bureau and get marriage licenses right now,’ Alice said resolutely.

"Adam is still ina coma in the hospital.How can he..."

Two months later, in the VIP ward of a private hospital in New York.

Rebecca sat beside the bed where her new husband slept.
