When Adam came back with Linda in his arms, Rebecca was in the kitchen drinking water.

She heard the sound of the door and just glanced at them.

Her eyes were without any emotion.

Adam put Linda on the sofa.

Then, his phone rang.

It was Arthur calling him.

He immediately answered the call.

"Dad"

"Okay, I see.’ Adam simply replied and then hung up the phone.

Rebecca went out of the kitchen and was on the way to her room.

"Adam, your father..."

Linda saw Adam hang up the phone and was about to ask him what Arthur had said, but Adam's eyes
fixed on Rebecca.

"Rebecca! Get changed and go with me."

Linda had to swallow her sentence, and her face became sully as she heard what Adam said to
Rebecca.

Rebecca paused but did not look at Adam.



She only said "Okay,’ then went straight back to her room.

"Adam, it's so late.Where are you going?"

Immediately, Linda asked him softly, grabbing Adam's hand and looking at him with a pitiful look and
tearful eyes.

Adam put away his phone, looked at Linda, and smiled, "My dad asked Rebecca to go back with me!
Be good.You go to sleep."

"Then..."

Linda looked at him with tears about to fall.

"Then will you come back tomorrow?" Adam forced a smile to her.

"I don't know.Maybe."

Linda's tears were about to fall down and she said, "Please come back tomorrow.My hand is hurt, and I
can't do anything alone!"

Adam looked at her but did not wipe the tears off her face.

He just smiled faintly and said, "I'll try my best""

Linda pouted, tears streaming down her face.

The next second, she threw herself on Adam and hugged him tightly.

Adam was standing but she was sitting on the sofa.



So, she pressed her cheek tightly against Adam's abdomen, sobbing, "Adam, I only have you by my
side.Don't leave me alone.”

Adam sighed faintly.Then he hugged her and stroked her back.

"Don't worry, I won't leave you:"

Rebecca only needed to take her laptop and a few books with her back to the Williams Family.

When she packed up and came out, she saw the scene of Adam and Linda hugging each other.

She heard their conversation and then stopped walking towards them.She just looked at them quietly.

Adam really loves Linda.

Adam was hugging Linda.

Adam then kissed Linda's forehead before he let go of her and walked towards the door of the
apartment without even looking at Rebecca, let alone saying anything to her.

Rebecca was sensible.

She wouldn't wait for him to say anything to her nor would she disgust him.

So, when she saw him turn around and walk out, she quietly followed behind him.

Linda looked at them.

After Rebecca closed the door, Linda picked up a pillow and threw it hard at the door.

Originally, she thought that when Adam brought her back from the hospital, he would question Rebecca
why she hurt her with his hands grabbing her neck.

Even if he didn't do that to Rebecca again, at least he should ask Rebecca to apologize to her! But he
didn't! Nothing happened! Not only didn't Adam get angry at Rebecca or ask Rebecca to apologize to
her, but he even took Rebecca back to the Williams Family, leaving her alone at late night.

Rebecca got into Adam's car and sat in the passenger seat.

Rebecca glanced at him, then closed her eyes and continued to sleep.

sweet.

She thought that must be a dream.

Rebecca buried her head in the shadow of the window and got a deeper sleep.

Adam came to his senses and withdrew his hand.

At the same time, the red light turned green.

He stepped on the accelerator and the car sped up.

His hands, which were holding the steering wheel, were somehow sweating.
