As for Duan Chunhua, she went out without telling others. She went to her auntie's house to vent her feelings. Her auntie was living at the normal residence. It was quite far from Tang Residence.
Her auntie was surprised to see Duan Chunhua there, and not at her workplace.
"What are you doing here?" Her auntie asked.
"I..." Duan Chunhua had yet to answer the question when her auntie got a call. She went to pick up the call. Her auntie's facial expression changed when she listened to what the other person told her. She then apologized to the other person profusely and ended the call.
"What the heck are you doing leaving your job like this?" Her auntie shouted at her after the call ended.
Duan Chunhua was taken aback when her auntie shouted at her like that.
"You promised that you would work diligently. That is why I found work for you at a place like that. You don't need to worry about rent and food. But what have you done?" The auntie sighed.
The auntie regretted introducing the job to Duan Chunhua. She thought she would work hard without any problems. The head maid called her about Duan Chunhua who went missing.
"If you still want to work there, you better go back right now. If you have not arrived at Tang Residence by the sunset, you can go back to your village." The auntie said.
"What? No! I don't want that. I don't want to return to the village." Duan Chunhua said.
"Then, go back. If you get fired, don't ever dream of staying at my house. I don't want you to be here. You need to go back to your village." The auntie said.
"No." Duan Chunhua did not stay any longer at her auntie's house and rushed over to the nearby bus stop.
She needed to wait for half an hour for the bus to arrive at the bus stop. The bus started moving. However, she thought the bus was moving too slow. She went up to the bus driver to tell him to drive faster.
The driver retorted to her. "If you want to go faster, you can get off and take the taxi instead."
Of course, Duan Chunhua did not want to do that. The fee for a taxi ride would eat her money. Seeing the bus driver did not want to follow her wish, she went back to her seat. However, when she was talking to the bus driver, someone already took her seat.
"Excuse me, this is my seat." Duan Chunhua spoke to the person who took her seat.
That person was a middle-aged woman. She glared at Duan Chunhua. "I don't see your name on this seat. So, I can sit here."
"I sat on this seat first." Duan Chunhua tried to explain.
"But you were gone when I saw this seat." The middle-aged woman argued back. "Stop talking to me. I feel dizzy talking to others when I am on the bus."
"Stop talking to this lady. You are bothering her. You are still young. You can afford to stand." Another middle-aged woman stepped in and stopped Duan Chunhua from bothering the middle-aged woman.
Everyone stared at her. Duan Chunhua felt embarrassed. She stopped talking to the middle-aged woman and stood a little far from the middle-aged woman. She could not find another seat since other seats were already occupied.
Duan Chunhua looked at her watch. It was already 5 p.m. The bus is still moving at a slow pace. She felt this was even slower. That was because the office hours just ended. People who worked during office hours were returning home. The road was full of cars.
Until the traffic was totally stopped. Everyone was wondering what happened. One of them went to ask the bus driver. The bus driver told them that there was a car accident ahead. They needed to wait for a while.
Duan Chunhua was the one who strongly reacted to the news. She rushed to the bus driver.
"Then, how long do we need to wait?" Duan Chunhua asked.
The bus driver already did not like Duan Chunhua's attitude. He answered without thinking. "Probably one hour. Who knows."
