Chapter 22: hot hot shower

Darius POV

I was standing there on our balcony and my eyes followed Aleera when she just left me there. It was
hard for me not to run after her but I have promised to give her time and I will honor it. I don't want to
have intimacy with her if she is not ready.

I was standing there looking at her glass door. Some part of me wished she was ready. I want to give
her all the love and satisfaction I can give her. The wild image I got inside my head did not help me in
this time at all. I tried my best to push them away but sadly it did not work at all.

With this image in my head it got hotter and hotter and the only thing to help me to calm down was an
ice cold shower, so I went back to my room and took a long cold shower. After I was done I grabbed
my black sweatpants and put them on and was about to get into my bed when I heard her through the

Xander was about to say something but I blocked him out. He was telling the truth, I or we would love
to help her out, give her a night she would never forget, but I am fighting myself not to go into her room.
I want her to invite me herself, I don't want to just rush in there and frighten her even more. She has
told me almost everything she has been through and finally who she really is. Of course I was shocked
when she told me her real name but being Isaac’s daughter did not bother me at all. It was the moon
goddess that paired the mates and if she had paired us together she must have something planned for

I still heard moaning from her room and I tried to block the sound out but it was hard not to listen, the

Aleera's POV

As I entered my room I closed the glass door behind me and pulled the curtains closed so he couldn't
look in and another part of it was that I did not want to see him right now. It did feel weird to leave him
out there after everything that just happened and what would have happened if I had not left.

I felt hot so I decided to take a shower to cool myself down. I stripped off my clothes. When I was about

"Darius" I said to him and I must have brought him back from his dirty thoughts.

He looked into my eyes. "Sorry, for coming to you this late when you were about to go to sleep."

"It's fine, did you want something special?"

"Can I come inside?"

I sigh, I removed my hand from the door and I pushed the door open so he could get in. He walked in
and turned around and looked at me standing there in only my black Negligé that stopped just below

"So was there something special you wanted?"

"No nothing special. I just had a question."

"And you could not wait until tomorrow to ask me?"



He shook his head as a no.

"Then ask me the question so I can get back to bed." I told him.

It took at least a minute before he opened his mouth and asked me the question.

"Do you mind if I stayed with you tonight?"

"Here? And if I say yes, where are you going to sleep?"

"I hoped I could sleep next to you. I promise I will not do anything to you if you don’t want me to."

He wanted to sleep next to me the whole night? Why? I did not say anything back. I guess it frustrated
him because he didn’t know my answer. I just turned around and closed the door and then walked
passed him back to my bed. I removed the duvet and crawled under it.

"Don't just stand there. If you want to sleep next to me then get over here or get out." I said to him. I
hope he keeps the promise he said to me about not to do anything to me unless I wanted him to.

I laid down on the right side of the bed and he went to the left side. After he crawled in he put his arm
over me and got closer and held me close to him. He held me there and whispered in my ear.

"I heard what you did to yourself earlier. I hope it felt good for you."
