Chapter 37: Babysitter

"How old are you?"

Anna asked.

"I am sixteen, but I'm going to be seventeen too."

Bianca answered in the same manner Anna had used and she grinned at the girl in response, not
missing it.

2 "Do you live here?"

Anna questioned and I shook my head as I shifted back against the sofa and let her continue her line of
questions.

I had already decided that Bianca would be good.

She was soft spoken, didn't seem to be taking this babysitting job just as a necessity for extra income
by the way she talked and paid attention to Anna, she seemed to be good at this and enjoyed
interacting with kids.

"No."

Bianca laughed.

"This place is too expensive."I Anna tilted her chin up and said, "Mama works very much and she got
us this place.

Isn't it nice?"

I felt shame coursing through my veins at the prideful remark of my daughter.



I heard Bianca say something but all I heard was Anna's words and thought how I didn't deserve my
daughter's praise.

It wasn't because of me that we lived in this nice apartment, it was her father who made it happen and
Anna didn't even know it.

"Will you take me downstairs to the park?"

Anna's question pulled me out of my miserable thoughts and I focused back on their conversation.

"If your mother allows it, then yes."

Bianca replied to her with calmness.

"She will."

Anna announced and then turned to me and demanded, "Tell her, Mama."

I arched a brow at her and said, "Is that how you ask for permission?"

She pursed her lips and thought for a moment then rephrased her words, "Mama, tell her that I can go
downstairs.

I can, right?"

"If you behave and don't do anything that you shouldn't then yes, Bianca is allowed to take you
downstairs."

But I knew that she was going to spend most of the time downstairs anyway.

"If it's okay with you, I would like to leave now.



I have to catch a subway."

Bianca stood up getting off the sofa and I did too.

She hesitated before she asked, "So are you going to ask for someone else, or—"

"No.

I think Anna has already shown that she likes you and if you give me your phone number I'll let you
know when you have to come."

She gave a bright smile and said, "Thankyou.

I will take good care of Anna."

Late that night when Anna fell asleep beside me, I got a text on my phone.

Even without looking at it, I knew who it would be.

A part of me wanted to ignore it but after the day I'd had I wanted to talk to him too, also I guessed I
should apologise to him for my rude behaviour in the morning.

Maybe my apology would soften him a little and it would be better for when I tell him the truth.

4 I opened the messenger and read his text.

"How is Mrs Huxley?"

I typed back, not thinking much about how mundane his text seemed.

"Better.

They have her under observation for the night in the facility near the hospital."



"I know."

Then another text came.

"I want you to be ready early in the morning and come to my apartment before we head to the office."

"How much early?"

"Seven."

"I don't even wake up at seven!"

I typed back because I do wake up at seven but also Bianca would be able to come only at eight as
she lived on the other side of the town.

"You will wake up for me."

"Kristian… Please."

There was no reply from him for five minutes.

So I took a deep breath and typed the three words that I was hoping would make a difference.

"I am sorry for this morning.

I was unreasonably rude."

No reply came.

And when I was just putting my phone back thinking he wasn't going to reply, his text popped up on my
screen.

"You can make it up to me in the morning."



"I can't."

Before he could ask why or get angry, I quickly typed, "I really had a tiring day, Kristian.

Please, I'll do something else instead of waking up so early!"

Another two minutes passed and I was starting to think that he was deliberately doing this to keep me
on the edge.

Then his next message came and I had to read it a few times to make sense of these words.

"Fine.

Send me a pic of your gorgeous tits."

I didn't know if I wanted to get offended that he wanted a pic of my breasts or to feel better that he
called my breasts gorgeous.

When I didn't type back quickly enough, another text from him popped up.

"Or, I can punish you for how you talked back to me this morning.

Maybe, this time I would blindfold you and spank you in front of the floor to ceiling windows of my
apartment."

2 Goose bumps scattered over my skin as I read his text.

Again and again.

Hearing his dark voice in my head and a warm ball curled in my stomach.

I didn't understand, why him.



Why I never got interested in anyone over the years but the second I laid my eyes on him, I started to
feel my body coming alive from the hibernation it had gone into.

"Good night, Elsa."

The fact that he accepted I wasn't going to send him a picture or maybe it was that he had used my
name or for whatever reason that I didn't want to accept, except that I was doing it so I wouldn't get
punished in the morning, I carefully slipped out of the bed and made my way toward the bathroom.

I locked the bathroom door and turned around to face the mirror above the basin.

My fingers shook slightly with nerves and a little bit of excitement that made me feel embarrassed as I
slipped the straps of my sundress down my shoulders.

I looked into the mirror, my blue eyes stared back at me unusually bright and before I could lose my
courage, I unhooked my bra and pulled it off.

My breasts freed from their confines looked pale and plump with pink tipped nipples and I shivered as
the cold air caressed my warm bare flesh.

1 picked my phone back from the counter and held it in front of my face as I clicked a picture, making
sure my face won't appear.

The picture wasn't clear as my phone was outdated and had a shitty camera.

I stepped closer to the mirror and snapped another one.

This one looked better than before but not by much, still I sent it to him and then quickly typed a text.

"I will come to the office at nine, not earlier than that."

After that I turned my phone off without waiting for his reply.
