“Are you alright, Xinyi?” Lu Xiulan asked. “Did he touch you?”
Ah, she didn’t want something bad to happen to her cousin. She also didn’t want to be held responsible if something happened to Lu Xinyi. Shen Yi would surely not be pleased.
Lu Xinyi shook her head, making her dizzier. The alcohol was starting to affect her senses that she couldn’t even stop her sharp tongue from insulting the man earlier.
“I’m okay,” Lu Xinyi struggled to push on the crowd so Lu Xiulan had to hold her frame and lead her outside the club, hoping that Yuan Jin was waiting for them.

As the man grinned at Lu Xinyi’s retreating figure, someone appeared behind him and hit his head.
“Oww!” The man rubbed his head and wrinkled his forehead, “What’s that for, Yuren?!”
“You dumbass. Did you just try to hit on a married woman, Long Feng?” A deep baritone voice coming from behind him sent shivers through Long Feng’s spine. Long Feng’s ear was pulled harshly and he could only groan in pain.
Li Yuren was wearing a black suit. He was tall and a slim but muscular build, with a handsome face and short hair. He looked very cold and aloof just like a noble prince. The way he moved revealed his unique charisma to anyone who sees him.
“A married woman?” Long Feng frowned. Such beauty was already taken?
“If only you could pay attention to your surrounding, you will see that she’s already taken and not interested to you.” Li Yuren sat on the stool beside the bar and sipped on his drink. His eyes following Lu Xinyi’s form until it disappeared on the crowd.
Of all the places he could see his so-called fiancee, he had never thought he would see her on a club. Lu Xinyi’s fiery attitude perplexed him. She had never shown herself during those marriage meetings and he had no idea what kind of woman she was.
When she accidentally stepped on Long Feng’s foot, she quickly apologized but Long Feng being a stupid wingman that he was, tried to flirt with her only to be shot down with her insults. So colorful and unladylike which should have turned Li Yuren off but instead, he found her amusing.
The outcast young miss of the Sun family was surely entertaining to watch as she berated Li Yuren’s wingman.
“Eh? What a bummer! Such a cute and fiery woman is already taken?”

Long Feng gasped, only to realize that he just made a big mistake. Surely, that woman wasn’t the same Lu Xinyi that was betrothed to his commander. He was about to say something more but was lost in words.

“Yes,” There was no mistaking that the woman was the Sun family’s young miss.
Long Feng gulped and started to sweat. “Ah, we’re here to have a break from work and I’m not trying to get my bones broken by her husband.” he hastily replied.

In all the time that he’d spent in the army, he only bothers to went out to go on dates his father set up for him. He did go on the blind dates, as per his father’s instructions but none of the women was able to capture his heart.
