Chapter 42 I&##x27;m Not Lying

"I'm not lying!" Lois said in a hurry, "don't you think it's too coincidental?"

Lily took the elevator to Kevin's office. When she opened the door, he was having a meeting.

Kevin turned his head to look at her and said, "give me a cup of coffee, please."

Glancing at the assistant standing at the door, Lily got out unwillingly to pour coffee for Kevin and his
client.

She put the coffee in front of them and then stood aside in silence. The reception was finished soon.

Staring at him in silence, she asked, "what do you want from me?"

"Nothing." A hesitation flashed through Kevin's eyes.

Hearing what Kevin said, Lily felt that she was fooled by him. But suddenly, an idea occurred to her
mind.

"You..." With hesitation, she continued, "do you know any specific conditions about my family's
bankruptcy?"

Kevin raised his head, looked confused, but there was no sign of panic on his face. He said, "I don't
know. What's the matter?"

"No... Nothing." Slightly biting her lower lip, Lily hesitated for a while and said, "but someone told me
recently that things in our family are not that simple."



"I'll help you find it out!" Kevin looked up at Lily with a determined look in his dark eyes.

Kevin's statement didn't seem to be faked, so Lily swallowed her doubts and lightly said, "I... I trust you,
too."

Just as Kevin said, he would believe her. So, she wouldn't doubt him again.

"How's everything going at the company?" Asked Kevin awkwardly.

Speaking of this, Lily couldn't help rolling her eyes at him. She said angrily, "I just started my work, and
you called me up. I haven't taken over my work yet."

Watching her nagging, Kevin couldn't help slightly curving a smile. "Work hard," he said.

In the end, in a series of words said by Lily, Kevin only spoke out one sentence in a moderate tone.

As if being choked, and after staring at Kevin for quite a while, with her eyes wide open, Lily pretended

tomorrow."



With a smile, Holly said, "okay. Prepare some clothes and food for him."

Looking at Lily and her mother, Kevin pressed his lips and suddenly said, "I'll go with you."

"No, you don't have to go," Holly said immediately, "I know you are busy with your work."
