Chapter 204 Quarrel

During the half an hour flight, Lily's heart was beating fast and she couldn't stop it at all.

The woman next to her seemed to have noticed this. She even asked her if she had any inherited
disease.

It was hard for her to wait for the plane finally landed. She walked out of the airport, hailed a taxi at a
high price and hurried to the hospital.

In the taxi, she looked at the sky which was a little white and miraculously calmed down.

When she just walked to the door, she saw a familiar figure not far away.

The man happened to face her, and the moment he saw her, he walked over casually.

"You're finally here? Go upstairs now. Our parents are waiting for you anxiously!" Obviously, the man
said it on purpose. He said it word by word, making people feel that he was gnashing his teeth when he
was saying so.

Lily got angry immediately. "Kevin, you are talking nonsense in the early morning. What do you mean
by our parents?! They are my parents. They have nothing to do with you!"

"Why are you so angry in the early morning! Go upstairs now!" The man didn't get angry at all because
of this. Instead, he stared at her with interest.

There weren't many people at the gate of the hospital, so she argued with the man again. Otherwise,
she would drag him to a quiet corner and question him.

"Haven't you given any money to my parents in the past two years? They couldn't live a good life, so
my mother began to worry about the overseas telephone fee? !" Her tone was so harsh that she
questioned him impolitely.



The man seemed to be frightened by her action. He stood still for a long time without doing anything.

"Please take a look at this hospital first! And then you can rebuke me loudly!" Said Kevin coldly.

It was not until then that she realized that this was one of the top ten hospitals in the United States. The
ward here was not the one that anyone could live in as they wished.

When she saw this, her anger disappeared in an instant.

Because the man had attended a party with her yesterday. It was impossible for him to come here
immediately and suddenly transfer her parents to this hospital.

Thinking of this, Lily lowered her head with guilt and said, "I'm sorry. I wronged you just now!"

"It's not a big deal! Your mother doesn't know about our divorce. If you don't want to stimulate her
again, just pretend that we are still very sweet!" The man said coldly.

After saying that, he walked straight ahead. When she realized what had happened, she quickly
followed him.

They were all indifferent to each other until they reached the corresponding floor.

If someone saw them, he would definitely feel that these two people were strangers. The coldness in
the eyes of the two was undisguised.

When she was about to reach the door of the ward, the man who was walking in front of her suddenly
stopped. He walked to the side of Lily stiffly and suddenly reached out his hand to hold her shoulder.

She quickly adapted to the role. After calming down, he began to try his best to squeeze out a smile.

However, in this short few minutes, she tried for a long time, but it did not work.



When she arrived at the door of the ward, she saw her father lying on the bed with a haggard face,
without any color on his face.

"Dad!" Lily took off all of her disguise and burst into tears on the edge of her father's bed.

Her mother just stretched out her hand and patted her back silently.

After a long time, she raised her head and looked at her father. His face was sallow and haggard.
Sitting on a chair beside him, she looked depressed, which made people who saw her feel sorry for
her.

Holly withdrew her hand, sat upright and began to speak, "since your father came to the United States,
he has been in poor health. More than a year ago, his body directly collapsed, but he doesn't want to
cause you any trouble, so he has been enduring it."

Hearing this, as a daughter, she realized how irresponsible she was. She asked in a trembling voice,
"then what happened to father?"

"I don't know yet. He was sent to the hospital yesterday morning, and he needs to be checked again.
But the doctor has a preliminary evaluation that there are too many congestion in her body, which leads
to illness and is likely to transform into cancer." Holly shook her head. Obviously, she didn't know the
result. Just the news was too much for her to bear.

At this time, Lily found that her mother's dark eyes were very obvious, and the whole eyes were red
and swollen, as if she had not slept for a night and had cried for a long time.

She should have come to comfort his mother. But now she the one to be comforted.

In order not to make her mother worried, she pretended to be strong and said slowly, "Mom, you can go
back to sleep first. The dark circles under your eyes are very thick!"



"What about you?" Indeed, Holly hadn't slept for a long time. It had been a day and a night since
yesterday morning.

"I just got off the plane. It's only at dusk in China. I'll go back to sleep after it's dark." She explained.

She nodded, "okay."

Then Holly staggered out of the ward.

When she walked to the corridor, she saw Kevin sitting upright.

The man could also feel her gaze. Then he turned around and said, "Mom, you are too weak. Let me
take you to prescribe some medicine."

"No, I'll go back and have a rest for a while." She said.

"Then let me drive you back to have a rest!"

Seeing the sincerity on his face, Holly agreed. When she sat in the car, she looked at the man who was
driving beside her.

Suddenly, she said, "I don't care what happened between you and Lily today. Even as a friend, please
take care of her. We may not have much time to be with her."

"Of course!" Kevin agreed immediately without asking too much.

When he sent her back and returned to the hospital, it was already dawn. There was a traffic jam on
the road.

When he came to the ward with breakfast, he saw that Lily was crying on the bed. Her body twitched
and her voice was deliberately controlled in a weak voice.



Kevin walked over quietly, took a piece of paper from the bedside and put it on the bed. Then he put
the breakfast on a chair aside.

When she finished crying, she was surprised to find that there was something suddenly appeared in
the ward, because she knew very well that there was only one person who would send these things.

She didn't know why he was so kind!
