Chapter 22

Along the way, Alyssa kept scrolling the social media. But this time she was not shaking with anger,
instead she was reading calmly those articles.

The post ‘A Wench Mad For Money’ was still trending. Most of the netizens were scolding her.

“This woman had the nerve to betray her sister, even after what she had done for her. She is really
shameless!”

“Skylar didn’t deserve to have a sister like her! That bitch!”

“Right, I want to beat her with a shovel.”

Alyssa laughed coldly. She was the true victim in this entire incident, yet all she had gotten were hate
comments and death wishes. And Skylar, the mastermind behind it all, got fame and fortune straight

Alyssa sent Hazel a message.

“Introduce a reliable media reporter to me.”

Although they were far away, Alyssa could sense Hazel’s excitement. Alyssa struggled to hide her

Although all these years when Alyssa was in the Moore family, she had to swallow her anger, but that

After all, with her connections and prestige, no one would stand on her way. But Alyssa didn’t let her do
it.

This time it was Alyssa who was the one to do it and she was ecstatic. “That’s great. If you need
anything from me, just call me.”

The door to the study opened.

Frank took the tablet in and placed it on the table. “Boss, Madame apologized to Skylar on social
media.”

Emmett was handling the official documents. Although he hadn’t taken over the Lawrence Group yet,

He looked at the tablet on the table and Frank flipped to the page.

she is apologized Skylar?”

“Boss, you mean…” Frank’s impression of Alyssa was an ordinary girl who reacted slowly. So when he
saw this post, he didn’t think too much of it, assuming that she had done thing out of her stupidity.
However, it seemed that it wasn’t the case.

“Don’t interfere. Just inform me if there are further developments.”

Although he had only met Skylar once, he could see that Skylar was spoilt to the heavens by her
family. That’s way her actions had become lawless and brash. She didn’t have the brain to think
carefully before doing things either.

At least, Skylar didn’t think thoroughly before trying to get close to him.

that important? Once Dad retires, don’t you have to…”

“Stop it!” Emmett was infuriated.

His voice was chilling to the bone, “You can say this because you weren’t there! You didn’t see mother
being bullied and tortured to death! You weren’t there when they abused her! You can run away and
live in peace overseas, but I can’t! I won’t be in peace until I find her killer!”

“Those kidnappers were killed long ago!”

“No! The real mastermind hasn’t been caught!” Emmett’s voice was deep and sullen, “That morning,
we had a sudden change of our tour plan. If someone didn’t reveal our new details, how could they
have known our location and manage to capture us in a short while!”

Whenever he recalled the events that day, his fury and hate may erupt through his chest at any time!

Not wanting to talk anymore, he hung up the phone and slammed down this phone.

what.
