Mrs. Carter looked at Claire with an extremely unpleasant expression.
“How could you do that?”

Julie echoed from the side.

only be a waste of time and make people feel like they’re watching a joke.”
Claire’ s eyes started to truly panic, and she looked at Mrs. Carter.
Mrs. Carter looked at Claire, extremely exasperated.
She had no choice but to go up to Nicole with a smile.
“ She was wrong, Nicole. There’s no need to watch the footage. It won’t be good to make a mess on a



day like today.”
Then, she looked at Claire.
“Apologize to Nicole and this gentleman.”





Claire was stunned and clearly did not understand. “Apologize? I’m their elder. How can I apologize to
them?” Mrs. Carter wanted to gnash her teeth. The Carter family did not look fondly upon her maiden
