Chapter 140 Inexplicable fear

Claire follows Juan back to the estate and lives there. But she’s been upset and uncomfortable since
she is in the car as if something big is going to happen.

This foreboding accompanies her all the way. Seeing Claire’s face is not very good, Juan asks, “Claire,
are you ok?”

“I’m fine.” Claire says to Juan with a smile, holding back the feeling of breathlessness.

“You say you are ok...” Before Juan finishes, he sees Claire close her eyes and slowly fall to the
ground. “Claire!”

When Claire wakes up, the setting sun is shining in the room. She stares at the ceiling and recalls what
happened before she fainted. She doesn’t understand why she suddenly felt unable to breathe.

“Are you awake?” Juan opens the door and brings in a bowl of porridge. He looks at Claire with

“You’re welcome.” Juan hands Claire the porridge. The door is knocked suddenly. Juan is a little
surprised. He looks apologetically at Claire and says, “eat the porridge and have a good rest. I have
something to do.”



“It’s OK.” Claire takes the porridge and says.

Juan nods and turns away in a hurry.

After Juan leaves, Claire feels bored in the room alone. She thinks that she didn’t visit the house last
time. She can visit it today.

Because she likes the decoration style of Juan’s manor very much!

Claire wanders about the manor. Suddenly, she comes to a half open door and hears Juan’s voice. She
wants to go in, but all of a sudden she is attracted by the contents of the conversation.

“Are you sure he is in a car accident?” Juan asks coldly.

“Yes! I personally confirmed it! He is in the hospital now. He’s seriously injured and may die.”

“Who is there?” Juan stares warily at the door. His bodyguard comes to the door and slams it open.
Then they all find Claire standing at the door.

When Juan sees her, instead of relaxing, he asks, “Why are you here? Didn’t I let you have a good rest
in the room?”

Claire feels the atmosphere in the study a little oppressive. She understands that she has made a big
mistake. She bows her head awkwardly and apologizes, “I’m sorry. I overheard you. It’s boring for me
to stay in the room alone, so I hang out. I’m sorry.”



Claire suddenly thinks of the conversation. She asks curiously, “what were you talking about? Who is
going to die in a car accident?”

Juan holds his breath nervously. He thinks about whether he has mentioned Leo’s name just now.

After confirming that he didn’t mention it, he is relieved and says casually, “nothing. One of my uncles
just had a car accident. He seems to be in danger and is being rescued now.”

going to tell me your name?”

They smile at each other and talk for a while. Claire suddenly thinks of a very important thing, so she
says to Juan, “Juan, although I appreciate your help, I want to go abroad. I want to give birth to my
baby. It’s not safe at home!”

Leo is very powerful. Claire knows that if she stays at home, she will probably be caught by him.
