Chapter 152 Don’t be too happy

Because of Tracy’s recommendation, Claire becomes the secretary of Howard Group’s president.

Tracy is happy, too. She is not as mean as usual. She smiles smugly at Claire and says, “you can start
work today.”

“OK.” Claire is relieved.

But she suddenly thinks of a fact!

If she starts work today, she will meet Leo today. Claire is nervous and scared at the thought of
meeting Leo.

Maybe she’s not ready to face him again. She is afraid that she will not be able to escape from him
after meeing him again.

Claire can’t imagine how angry Leo was when she ran away from him. She dare not think of it.

Leo must be furious!

At the thought of Leo’s anger, Claire unconsciously hates it.

Then she thinks of her son. Claire is determined to get her son back!

Forget it. Leo, I’m not afraid of you! I’m not the Claire I was six years ago!

This woman is Leo’s last secretary. When she sees Claire, she smiles sarcastically and then she

the secretary and tells her something about her work.

Claire follows the former secretary with sincerity. The former secretary can not help sighing at her
honesty, “you are obedient. It’s a pity that I didn’t expose Tracy in front of the president before I left.”

Claire doesn’t know the truth, but she smiles politely and doesn’t comment.

The former secretary sighs again. She puts a notebook in Claire’s hand and says, “I’ve told you
everything. Next you can only rely on yourself.”

Claire takes the notebook and looks at it suspiciously. She can’t help reading it.

The former secretary reminds her, “the president likes to drink unsweetened coffee. It’s better to be
bitter, but it can’t be too bitter.”

“He eats in the company when he is busy. You’re responsible for his lunch. He only eats food from a
few restaurants. I’ve written those contacts on it.”

She pauses and says, “if Tracy asks you to call her Mrs. Howard, you mustn’t!”

“because she’s not the president’s wife at all. She’s just the president’s fiancee!”

Claire stops thinking and smiles at the former secretary and says, “I see. Thank you.”

The former secretary is more worried. She waves casually and says weakly, “you are much older than
me. Are you married? Tracy won’t be alert to you. She is a hypocritical woman. I really want to give her
a good beating.”

Claire can’t help chuckling at the tone of the former secretary’s voice.

“Why do you laugh?” The former secretary glares discontentedly at Claire. She says seriously, “don’t
be too happy. That woman has a bad temper. She’ll embarrass you later. You’d better be careful
yourself!”

It has to be said that the former secretary is quite interesting. Although she is a bimbo, Claire agrees
with her.

Tracy’s manner makes people dislike her. She lets others call her Mrs. Howard in private, which shows
that this woman is full of vanity. Such a person is really unattractive.

“I see.” Claire stops smiling and says seriously, “would you like to have lunch with me later?”

“No, I’m upset to stay here. The president may be busy today. You stay here to prepare lunch for him.”
The former secretary waves and packs up to leave.

Claire’s heart pounds when she hears that she is going to prepare lunch for Leo. She doesn’t see Leo
all morning. She thinks she is ready to face him again, but now she is so scared.

Claire takes a deep breath and cheers herself up in her heart. At that moment, the internal phone on
the front desk of the secretary rings.



The former secretary’s face changes when she hears the telephone ring. She looks at Claire in panic
and says hurriedly, “I forgot to prepare coffee for the president this morning. He must be urging now! I
have to leave first. You solve it!”

With that, she leaves in a hurry.

you?”

Today is my first day at work.”
