After the thunderstorm, the sun was even hotter than usual. N Town's surface temperature had spiked to 40°C. To make matters worse, the high humidity coupled with the unusual temperature made the town feel like a steamer. Despite the weather already being intolerable for normal citizens, the soldiers were still undergoing harsh training in the fields.
Meanwhile, an SUV sped through a puddle, causing the mud to splash all over the infantry soldiers' bodies and faces.
The six special operations officers on the SUV, all bald and wearing shades, smirked contemptuously.
The infantry team leader, who was covered in mud from head to toe, was so mad that he swore and raced after them. "F*ck your grandpa! What's so special about special operations!? Come down and fight me if you dare!"
Having heard him, the SUV stopped immediately.
"Guys, there's a tiny weeny team lead who wants to fight with us... Should we fight or nah?" Fang Zhuo teased condescendingly.
The five other members of the special operations laughed loudly. "Of course, we must fight! If not, these bunch of amateurs would think that us Blood Wolves are a joke!" He Feng joined in.
The six of them jumped off of the vehicle. They were all huge and roughly similar in size.
The specialty of the infantry soldiers was that their speed could almost match that of motor vehicles.
Nevertheless, the angry team lead was quite strongly-built, too. He had the top overall performance in the entire base. He had applied to join the special operations for two consecutive years but had always failed by a small margin. He just needed a little more luck.
The other members of the Er Ban came too.
"What an inspiring spirit, little man! Challenging us? Aren't you scared of losing an arm?"Jiang Hai and Fang Zhuo leaned on each other nonchalantly. The way they behaved was no different from street bullies, so the team lead could not believe that they were the special operations officers he had always dreamed of joining.
Then, the team leader took off his shirt.
"You're the first person who dared to challenge us Blood Wolves... you've got guts!" Ye Cheng said and looked towards Beixiao, who had kept quiet the whole time.
Beixiao patted Da Sha's shoulder and said, "Go, brother."
Da Sha was more than enough to fight the team lead.
"I, I…" Da Sha's cowardly expression posed a stark contrast to the crew's arrogant attitude, so everyone laughed.
The team leader went into the muddy pond first. After a while, Da Sha followed suit, looking back to his crew members for help.
However, once the team lead started charging towards him, Da Sha's expression changed, and his gaze turned as sharp as an eagle's. He avoided the attack smoothly and, before the team leader fell into the mud, took the opportunity to give him a roundhouse kick. On the receiving end, the team leader fell straight to the ground.
Although Da Sha's overall performance was the poorest among the Blood Wolves, he was more than competent to fight the infantry department leader. Just as expected, after a few rounds, the team leader lost the battle.
The special operations crews really were no joke. Any of them could overpower the team leader with ease!
The surrounding soldiers watched with respect; meanwhile, the team leader, now completely soaked in mud, bowed deeply to the crew, who smiled and returned the gesture. "Train harder, brother!" Ye Cheng encouraged him.
Just when they were about to return to the SUV and leave, the base commander of the Leopard Reconnaissance unit protested, "That was way too easy! Blood Wolves, I heard that there is a test in the Hunter School..." The commander smiled as he put his hands behind his back. He, too, was an experienced soldier.
The crewmates of Blood Wolf A looked at him arrogantly.
"Go on, commander." Ye Cheng said politely.
"Let your team member hold balloons in their hands to be your human target!" Hearing the commander's words, all the soldiers gasped. Even the Blood Wolf B crew members' expression changed.
What a sadistic suggestion! How inhumane!
The special operations crew already go through incredibly cruel training, but they had never done anything to this extreme!
"Xiao, should we do it?" The best shooter in the team was Beixiao, so Ye Cheng asked for his opinion.
