Qin Lan was confused. Was Lu Beixiao not here to look for his parents-in-law?
"Xiao, have you taken your dinner? Hurry up and take a seat. Uncle will go get the menu!" Even though Lu Beixiao did not take the cigarette, Gu Changfeng continued to flatter him.
"No, thanks! Madam Qin, what did you mean by parents-in-law?" Lu Beixiao crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"Beixiao, I was referring to your future parents-in-law! I was just congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Gu on having such a good son-in-law. They are so lucky!" Qin Lan continued to flatter.
Lu Beixiao raised his brows. "I think you might have misunderstood; they are not my parents-in-law." He raised his voice and said loudly.
Qin Lan was dumbfounded, while Gu Changfeng and his wife were very embarrassed.
At that time, a few more people came into the VIP room.
"Master Lu!" One of the judicial officers approached Lu Beixiao in his uniform.
Lu Beixiao nodded in acknowledgment but said nothing.
"Qin Lan, we suspect that you were involved in a corruption and bribery case. You are being arrested! Please follow us!" The officer said seriously as he showed Qin Lan the arrest warrant.
Meanwhile, the other two officers handcuffed her.
