Ye Qiao quickly ran to the window and looked out. She lived in the western-most bedroom on the second floor, so Xiao's yard could be clearly seen from her window. Xiao happened to stay in the eastern-most room, so he could see Ye Qiao's room from his place.
Nevertheless, he was not at his window.

"I do not want to listen to your explanations. Go to bed now!" Xiao ordered as he was worried that she would be too tired.
Ye Qiao, who was already in her pajamas, went to her bed obediently.
Lu Xiaogun was just as domineering as his father, but they were both gentlemen toward her.

Ye Qiao hurried towards the window. Even though she could not see him from so far away, she saw that his car engine was started and that his car's lights were turned on. She waved her hands wildly and even tried to quietly call for him.
He probably heard her as he honked the car horn three times before he left.
Ye Qiao put her hands together; with teary eyes, she made a wish in her heart that he would come back safely.
"Lu Xiaogun, what does 'Te Amo' mean?" She could not sleep after tossing around on the bed for a while, so she asked him while holding her phone in her hands.
"It means 'I Love You' in Spanish," He knew that mummy missed daddy a lot, thus he replied thoughtfully.
Tears ran down her cheeks. She was crying because she was moved, but there was also a smile on her face.
"Your daddy is still the same as before... shy on the outside but wild on the inside!" Her heart ached a little as she continued, "Like before in my previous life, daddy still loved mummy very much…"

In August, the scorching sun was as hot as fire, but Ye Qiao loved the feeling of walking under the sun without using a parasol. The sun was just like Beixiao, who also happened to be born in August. As always, the neighborhood was full of vitality.
