Sherry was shoved onto the bed once more. John stared into her eyes coldly. “Sherry, must you make
me mad every single day?”

Sherry was taken aback. It had been a long time since she saw him like this.

A quick pause later, she curled her lips. “Yeah, I like to make you mad. I hate you. I hope you’ll die from
this!”

His gaze turned colder as he tightened his grip on her.

Sherry almost lost her breath. She gasped and said in a small voice, “As long as you are keeping me
here, I’ll keep making you mad. I’ll keep making you crazy. Whenever I see you, I’ll do it. You can either
stay away from me forever or kill me, or I can do this all day!”

She got even more arrogant as she provoked him.

John looked grim. “Sherry, my patience for you is limited. Stop trying to challenge my bottom line.” “I’m
challenging it! What are you going to do about it?!” Sherry raised a brow. “Kill me if you can!”

His expression turned frosty. “Do you really think I won’t kill you?”

Sherry’s chest tightened. She immediately changed her tone and added, “Well… Killing me will dirty
your hands, so why not beat me up and throw me away?” The frostiness on his face disappeared and
was replaced by an insidious grin.

“Hmph. I almost fell for it.” He pinched her chin. “You want to leave? Pay me back and we’ll talk.”

He got up from her after that. Sherry sat up. She watched him stomp over the food with his black
leather shoes. The beautiful cake, the pastries, the fried chicken, and the roasted ribs all got crushed.

He turned to her. “Sherry, this is my final warning. If you continue to make me mad on purpose, I’ll cut
your limbs off.”

Sherry shrunk in fear.

John chuckled as he walked out of the room.

The moment he disappeared from her sight, she cursed out loud, “Fucking bastard, just you wait!”

She would regain her freedom one day and take revenge on him for what he had done to her today.

Sherry went into the shower to clean up after John left.

When she came out fresh , she saw a maid cleaning the

food on the ground and throwing them into the garbage as though it was to prevent her from eating the
leftovers.

Sherry was stunned.

The maid smiled at her in silence. Then, she left after cleaning up.

Sherry cursed the bastard John again before she went to bed.



Just before she switched off the lamp, she caught a glimpse of the box of pills and the mug on the tea
table. She clearly remembered that she had taken two earlier, yet there were four empty slows. While
she frowned , her chest tightened. She shook her head and decided to discard the problem from her
mind.

She switched the lamp off and went to bed.

No matter how he treated her, it could never change the fact that he had ravaged her, insulted her, and
tortured her.

In Shannon’s room, she told Janine about John bringing Sherry back and the money she owed him.
She asked, “Mom, Sherry said unless she can return the money to John, he will never let her go. I don’t
