The Man I Like is Jonathan Brown

Bryson spoke up in a sorrowful voice.

“Gloria, are you going to say yes?”

Gloria was a bit bewildered.

“Bryson, are you drunk?”

Bryson‘s voice was unusually harsh and pushing.

“Gloria, answer me, Do you… Do you like Jonathan Brown?”

Gloria was taken aback. She never liked Jonathan and would never say yes to his proposal.

But…

The oddity of Bryson made Gloria wonder if she should lie to him and make him drop the idea forever.

“Yes,” she said after a second of pause.

Bryson felt a throbbing pain in his heart.

Bryson was upset when he learned that Jonathan was courting Gloria openly, but he thought Gloria
would need some time to get over the distress of her divorce with Jordy and would never say yes to
Jonathan. So he did not truly care at first.

But now, seeing the two of them interacting frequently, showing up in the public again and again and
taking over the trending list on Twitter, he panicked.

Why would Gloria want to work with Jonathan if she didn‘t like him?



Bryson kept his emotions in check. He didn‘t want to act rashly and bother Gloria with his meaningless
concerns.

But…

His patience and restraint did not bring him the good news.He tried to drown his sorrow in wine but the
emotion got the better of him. He soon got drunk.

He could not care any less about self–restraint now. He wanted to ask her the burning questions in his
heart…

Bryson took a deep breath, his eyes filled with distress. “Why… Gloria, you said you weren‘t going to
find another man. Why didn‘t you ever consider me? Am I really so awful in your eyes?”

Gloria clutched the phone tightly and said, “No, Bryson, you are a very excellent person, but we have
been friends since childhood. The four of us are so close! I think of you as my elder brother. I have
never considered us being together as a couple.”

Bryson laughed out bitterly. “Elder brother…”

He loathed the thought of being her brother!He just wanted to be her boyfriend, her husband, her lover
and her guardian angel.

However…It was but his own wishful thinking.

Bryson‘s voice quavered and his eyes reddened as he gripped his phone tightly and said, “Gloria, we’re
not related. We have been friends since childhood. Don‘t you wanna consider it? You are the one who I
truly care, the only girl I will care for in my life. Will you give me a chance?”



Gloria said last time that Bryson always kept his thoughts at the bottom of his heart, and he really did
so, but alcohol racing in his blood vain made him impulsive. Although he still had reasons remained,
although he could remember every single moment of now when he woke up tomorrow, he was unable
to control himself.

Gloria‘s face turned pale slightly. It was impossible for her to accept Bryson as her boyfriend. She was
telling the truth. Bryson was more like an elder brother to her... Moreover, she had just got divorced. It
was unfair to herself and Bryson if she said yes.

Gloria collected herself and said to him word by word, “Bryson Lloyd, it is not gonna work out between
you and me. The person I like is… Jonathan Brown.”

And just as she finished, someone suddenly showed up.
