Prepare the Surprise

Jordy‘s eyes instantly froze.

He glanced at Gloria with cold eyes.

Gloria looked quite calm, and it didn‘t seem that she was going to get back at Jordy.

Karen looked at Jordy with a surprised look, “What‘s the surprise?”

Jordy curled his lip, “Sorry, I can‘t tell you.”

“Then you should at least show your surprise to Gloria and then I can have a look at it.”

A sarcastic look flashed across Gloria‘s eyes. She knew Jordy was just lying, but she wanted the
surprise. Since he said he had prepared it, then he should present it to her.

Only when he was unhappy could she be happy.

Jordy did not speak but continued to eat.

Gloria smiled, “Maybe he didn‘t prepare it. It was just a show for the outsiders, and he was doing that
for my fame.”

Karen looked at Jordy with a frown, “I told you that one should act on what he says, didn‘t I? You have
forgotten what I told you when you were a child?”

Jordy pursed his lips. Karen said in a cold voice, “You are less well–behaved than when you were
young. Young Jordy would never do this! It‘s not allowed in our Collins family‘s family precepts!”



Gloria took Karen‘s hand with a smile, “Grandma, it‘s different. He lied just to help me. Don‘t take it
seriously. But he never lied when it comes to other things, didn‘t he?”

Jordy‘s fierce eyes immediately rested on Gloria‘s face. Karen was here, so he couldn‘t argue with her.

But Karen said coldly, “I don‘t care what you do! You must show the surprise to Gloria! If Gloria says it‘s
not a surprise! You will re–prepare it!”

Gloria was surprised, “Oh, it‘s not necessary.”

Karen said in a deep voice, “Yes, it is!”

Jordy‘s face was darker, “Grandma…”

Before he finished speaking, Karen put down her chopsticks heavily and said with a sullen look, “What?
You are a big boy now, and you don‘t want to listen to me anymore, do you?”

“Oh, that‘s not true,“Jordy said this.

Gloria curled her lip in silence. She just wanted to vent her anger and let Karen teach him a lesson.

However, Gloria did not expect that what Karen said next would upset Jordy instantly.

“You picked those roses for Gloria in person, then you should prepare the surprise for her in person
again. You will keep doing this until she is satisfied!”

Gloria couldn’t help giggling. She didn‘t care whether Karen was there or not but smiled at Jordy, “So
grandma is backing me up. If I want to get back at you, I can just keep telling you that I‘m not satisfied.”

Karen suddenly smiled, “You can do that! No matter what he prepares, no matter whether you are
really dissatisfied, you can just tell him that you are not satisfied! It‘s a punishment for him!”



Gloria knew Jordy was sullen even if she didn‘t look at him.

She nodded, “Okay, then please go to prepare a surprise for me personally, Mr. Collins! Grandma was
right. One should act on what he says. As the president of the Collins Group, it would be a bad
influence if you can‘t keep your words, right?”
